yes true and I admit that as a French man, it's better to play against Poland than Argentina for the 1/8 game.Quote

I don't think that Spain will/wants to win.
Because that would lead to a match against Brasil very soon.

If spain let's Japan win Germany it screwed. However they can screw Spain back by letting Costa Rica win. Then both Spain and Germany are out.
That would be quite the spectacle haha Not going to happen.

Time for Messi to establish he is the greatest player of all time

Belgian player Lukaku absolutely flubs two sure goals within minutes of each other. First one he had a wide open net from directly in front after a big juicy rebound off the foot of the Croatian goalkeeper and clinked it off the post. Then he sailed a header over the top of the net from directly in front. A bad omen maybe?

The big challenge for any team is to replace the old guys with new generations before it is late. It would be interesting to know the average age of the teams at this championship. Marcus Rashford is 25 years old, young and highly successful on Team England. Bruno Fernandes is 28, also successful on Team Portugal.
Messi is 35, still performing like in his old days, he is keeping the other team's defence players busy while other great Brazil players like Richarlison (age 25) score great goals.
Interesting games, that is for sure.

Boy, Spain is good.
Agree 100 percent for us in the US. Looking forward to the final during Christmas season.Quote

I love having the World Cup at this time of the year. It's much better than summer especially when those of us in cold climates are in the house. There's too much going on in summer to devote hours to watching games. It's perfect. Even February/March wouldn't be bad. But it's great around the holidays.
the second Japanese goal is not valid.Quote

Japan ties it at 1-1.
Japan takes the lead 2 - 1 with a stunning goal just minutes later! Spain is flustered.
