Norwegian TV had a report yesterday about riots in Brussels. The reporter claimed there were riots both when Belgium won and lost. It seems more like hooligans than fans to me.

Agreed, but this is football, everything could happen !
For now, Argentina & Germany could be widely better.
England and Portugal show both some very good points and some weak ones.
Brazil and Netherlands are clearly the best outsiders.
Spain if they can play the whole time like they played in the first half they will win.
France, for the first time in years, they are at the top early in the tournament, maybe too early. But we got the U.F.O Mbappé...

it's unusual and good to have "new" teams like USA and Senegal at this stage of the tournament.

Senegal has reached the quarter finals before, back in 2002.

USA actually has been in third place once, in 1930. But the tournament was a bit different back then!

In 1994 USA did make it to the final 16 as well, but lost to eventual World Cup winners Brazil.

USA's best "modern era" World Cup appearance was in 2002 where they reached the quarter finals, losing to Germany.

Congratulations to Australia. They did a great game, and the goal was just brilliant, all the way from the pass, and how the two Danish defense players were taken out before the final goal shot. My Nordic heart is close to Denmark, but still, Australia just did a great game.

As for France, no wonder they were resting their players, they were already ready for the next round, players need to rest during large tournaments.

Argentina looks very strong, finally playing like one of the favourites to win this whole cup should. But damn that Polish goalie is incredible! Easily the best individual player in this tournament so far.

In my opinion, England are starting to get it together, and playing well with their three goals against Wales.
I think England v Senegal on Sunday will be a good match and England winning the game.

I think Argentina is getting stronger as the world cup goes on, next game is Argentina again Australia.
