There were too many quest appearances and it distracted the flow of the show.

I agree 100% with your assessment.

Springsteen sucks on TD. As does Lady Gaga. Uh. One More Shot is not convincing at all.
The Last Time, Going Down, Who Do You Love, YCAGWYW, Respectable and Around And Around are quite good.[/quote]

One More Shot is the most uninspired song they've released the last 20 years. Sweet Neo Con and Streets of Love are masterpieces in comparison.

The lady gaga is one of the most funniest things I’ve seen I’ve seen at a concert imho.

Same here. The live version is even better, imo.

According to Steve Jordan, Keith's version is actually better than the Stones released version.
Can't find a link, but it was quoted regularly here for quite a while around the time Crosseyed Heart was released.
It's ok as a Stones tune (especially live), but I imagine Steve Jordan would be right about Keith's version...wish we could here it some day.

I'm glad Around and Around is part of the bonus. Very nice!

Mick's voice is terrible. He sang much better on later tours. By the way, the concert was really great. I love One More Shot, too. I'm Going Down is also great.

terrible is a little harsh but i agree that he does sound a little rusty here compared to a few years later

but not terrible

Wasn't it dropped quickly after a few performances? Makes me think the band rather agreed with my judgement above...grinning smiley

The version Keith cut was a duet with Steve's wife (who also sang backup on CROSSEYED HEART). Steve also made his statement (about a song he co-wrote) long before he started drumming for The Stones. He's not likely to say it now. In the long run, he earned far more royalties the way things turned out.

More than a few performances, but it didn't survive all the way to the end of the 2013 leg of 50 AND COUNTING.

Just been watching it, I’m sure the band members are trying to stop theirs selfs from laughing, but fair play to Lady gaga she puts 100% into the song.

Really impressed with the picture quality on blu-ray.

Maybe/hopefully the Keith solo version of One More Shot will be included in a future deluxe version of Crosseyed Heart.

Watching this and then Havana Moon is a night and day difference. 4 years later Mick is performing so much more relaxed and elegant that you feel like he got younger. In 2012 he seemed really old, singing and moving with a lot of tension.

Yes. And it's natural. In 2012 they had to proove themselves and from 2013 they were rolling again.

Second this. Here band sounds rusty and a bit tense.

Yep. The Stones were always the best when they didn't feel they had to prove themselves and just going with the flow.

Got the white vinyl while waiting for the Japanese Blu-ray.
The white vinyl does not sound great.
A bit muddy

A friend of mine said it is very similar to a steel wheels track. Mixed emotions i believe. But i could never pick up that similarity

The verses are very similar. Mixed Emotions, Take It So Hard, One More Shot. Just a D-chord pumping - and they try to find a "melody" on top of it. But there is a LOT more power in Mixed Emotions, than One More Shot.

Re: The Rolling Stones GRRR Live!

A good hybrid of Mixed Emotions, Take It So Hard, Street Fighting Man and You Shook Me All Night Long.

Could be worse smiling smiley

This might have been mentioned already but the Dolby ATMOS version on Apple Music through Bose noise-cancelling headphones is close to the best audio I've ever heard anywhere. Simply stunning.

Yes, exactly. That's, what one of their secrets is about. Let themselves go into the very moment, together and let the whole band and the audience joyn in and be a part of it. This is one of the main reasons for me to go to their shows since decades.
