This is the first release I have no interest in, I really wanted the Wiltern full show. Maybe that’s next who knows? But hey happy for those that will enjoy this.

In the 60s you can't judge a book by the cover...
In their 60s you can't judge the audio by a YouTube video, please wait for enjoy the bluray mix in the home theater...

But you could judge it e.g. by the pre-released HiRes-files on [www.Qobuz.com] or [www.ProStudioMasters.com] .

I thought you were not supposed so say that anymore? That's what someone told me right here. It seemed very important at the time.

Just back from the cinema, looks good on the big screen. Unfortunately they cut the intro video with the fan interviews.

The audio is mixed by Declan Gaffney so no Sam Wheat anymore

the audio sounds really good to me. Far better than most of the previous releases. The only complaint would be that sometimtes it sounds a bit lifeless and the audience is mixed very very low.

Sounds good. GOOMC is way better than I remembered it thumbs up

The mix is okay, only Mick's voice sounds far too upfront and midrangey to me.

Generally less mids would do the sound good as it already has been the case with the previous releases. So I got the feeling this has more to do with the Mastering Engineer "Mazen Murad" than with the mixer who is not Sam Wheat this time.

Replacing Sam Wheat was a good thing, now go and also replace Mazen Murad and we have a great sound again.

From the competition? I assume that everyone who applied for tickets got them. The cinema was about 50-60% full.

In Germany it was just shown one time in three cinemas. It was even neither possible to buy tickets for the screening nor where the screening advertised. It was just avaible to people who´were aware of that competition.

(Actually I took about have of my collegues with me so that they got at least once to a Stones show (-winking smiley

It was even neither possible to buy tickets for the screening nor where the screening advertised.

Beside on [RockAntenne.de] radio, the competition (raffle, sweepstake) was also advertised by SWR1 radio, by the [ClassicRock.net] magazine and by the [Rocks-Magazin.de] .

The screening was limited to Hamburg, Munich and Triers (each on 9-Feb-2023 at the CinemaxX).

Related to this release there is a radio channel in Finland, aptly called "Radio Nostalgia" celebrating this release for the whole week, playing Stones songs pretty often. The celebration will be end by them playing the whole brandnew release on Saturday.

They are also having a little quiz daily. When a Stones song appears, one can phone there and the first one get through will be asked a question about the Stones. The prizes will be the new release or some vinyl boxes.

Yesterday, while I was driving my car and listening to the channel, "Miss You" started to play, and soon there was someone on the line. They asked from where the name of the band comes from. The first answerer didn't know, but the second one answered, "oh, yeah, from a song... What was it called.. "Mama Was A Rolling Stone" or something"..

Much to my surprise the answer was accepted, although "one word was wrong, it is 'Papa'".... True that they later mentioned that it is a song called "Rollin' Stone" by Muddy Waters, but seemingly they thought that is the same song. I guess "Like A Rolling Stone" would have done too...

I felt like Bill Wyman or our sweet withsssoul from a Department of Historical Accuracy, and almost drove out of the road... (although the true giants in that department debate whether Brian picked up the name from the song of that name or from a line from "Mannish Boy". ..)
