"On 10 February 2023, the definitive live hits album full of the band's hits, GRRR Live! will be released. The Japanese edition of the album will be released in 2CD, DVD + 2CD and Blu-ray + 2CD formats, with a 3LP (black), 3LP (white) and 3LP (red) (UNIVERSAL MUSIC STORE exclusive) available on import only. Blu-ray and digital will include a Dolby Atmos mix.

The film features some of the greatest numbers of all time, including 'It's Only Rock'n'Roll', 'Honky Tonk Women', 'Start Me Up', 'Gimme Shelter', 'Sympathy For The Devil' and 'Satisfaction'.

The Rolling Stones celebrated their 50th anniversary in 2012-2013 with the 50 & Counting Tour, which took the band on 30 dates across North America and Europe. 15 December 2012 saw the band play the last of four shows in and around New York City. The band took to the stage at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. Guests included The Black Keys ('Who Do You Love?'), Gary Clark Jr. & John Mayer ('Going Down'), Lady Gaga ('Gimme Shelter'), Mick Taylor ('Midnight Rambler') and local hero Bruce Springsteen ('Tumbling Dice'). The performance was one of the most unforgettable concerts in the band's history.

Fans have not been able to get footage of this performance since it was first shown on Pay-Per-View in 2012. The DVD and Blu-ray versions of the show have been re-edited and remixed, and three songs from the 13 December show (also in Newark) have been added as bonus footage. The songs are 'Respectable (with John Mayer)', 'Around and Around' and 'Gimme Shelter'.

The Japanese edition will also include two bonus videos of 'The Last Time' and 'Tumbling Dice' from the 13 December show, and three bonus tracks: 'Tumbling Dice', 'Doom And Gloom' and 'The Last Time'."

SHM material and Japanese OBI will make this record sound better than any colored vinyl. You will not even mention that it is mixed/mastered by Stephen Marcussen and Sam Wheat .

Indeed Around and Around is the only song I'm interested in and I will still buy it. But I really don't understand this release. It's available for 10 years in excellent audio and video quality, even on YouTube. The last releases (Licks, Copacabana etc...) with the exception of El Mocambo have been really boring because we already have the same stuff in equal quality. What are they doing next? Hyde Park 2013 Uncut? Fonda Theater Re-edited?

There are so many interesting things in the vaults from the last years that we haven't seen but I guess it's too much effort to release something that needs a bit more post production...

Sounds like a very good mix. Cant wait to see Lady Gaga in real good quality. I will but it but I am still hoping on a No Filter Live release or Sixty with Steve Jordan. Overdue.

I hear bass overload even on computer speakers. Youtube clip is not a sample to judge but if they will keep this amount of bass on a CD... Well, we'll get something like extra disc from Atlantic City 1989 deluxe ;(.

The video sounds like the other bad mixes : the usual soup with the guitars buried at the bottom. I'll make sure about the mix before I buy this stuff.

Not true. I can't recall the guitars being this up in the mix on the PPV.

the usual soup is a reference to Miami 94 etc, not the pay-per-view.

It takes two seconds to hear that this is nowhere near as bad as Miami, imo.

Hope they also fix the bad sound (keiths guitar sound and Jaggers vocal mic) on the start of Midnight Rambler

The trailer doesn't sound so bad I think, maybe Mick shouldn't be so upfront in the mix.

Original PPV mix was a bit flat and lacked punch.

I will wait until this comes to my local, excellent library. (Right now I'm in line to get the jazzed up Revolver release). I'll watch it out of curiosity. It was not a great concert, at least I didn't think so at the time I watched it on PPV. I don't remember if the guest spots were all that great. I do remember being impressed by Ronnie's playing. He seemed the only band member really on. It will be interesting to see if time has softened my opinion of it.
