The only guest (beside Mick Taylor) I saw performing with the Stones was Florence Welch. It was pretty good but I'd prefer someone guesting who's deeply into the blues (and provides a real challenge for the Stones)

I also don't like it that much that a guest is there during a Stones concert.
At a festival (for example Pinkpop, BST Summer, Chochella, etc.) it's interesting for me when someone goes onto the other person's stage (thats a festival character).
But please NOT for individual concerts in stadiums or small halls.
The mentioned Chanel Haynes was crazy in Milano, but she was not a real guest but a substitute singer for the sick Sasha Allen.

For me there are little exceptions to guests - I would be happy if there were guests who wrote songs that the Stones sing (like John Lee Hooker, Solomon Burke etc.) but unfortunately there are not many who are still alive ...

I personally think some of the guest appearances brought the show down. Perfect example was the 2012 PPV. "More guests than on David Letterman"

The best guest appearances in my opinion were Eric Clapton, Bo Diddley and John Lee Hooker.

Gaga, Springsteen, Swift and a few others just didn't make the grade for me.

Dead Flowers with Brad Paisly was pretty good as well. At least he seemed to fit in.

Those are the standouts for me.

Dave Matthews ruined the songs he was on.

Most of these guests are under rehearsed or do not have a feel for the Stones music. From the videos I’ve seen the best was when Stevie Wonder and Wonderlove played the encore of Uptight/Satisfaction. Clapton on Little Red Rooster was pretty good in 1989.Would like to have seen Van Morrison duet with Jagger on an encore when he opened for them in 2006. Also I wonder what the Yardbirds,Eagles, Prince, Kansas , Van Halen and Alice Cooper ,who all opened for the Stones, what they would have sounded like.Probably not good.Maybe the Stones and Beatles should have jammed together the night they both played the NME awards show in1968.

Frankly, to me Jeff Beck was the best guitarist the Stones (Mick Jagger, Charlie Watts and Keith Richard as original members) had on stage in 2012 or whenever that was. I liked him even much better than Mick Taylor when the latter joined the Stones again for a couple of songs. And I'm a Taylorite, a dying breed on this site.

Flo was nice with Wild Horses...

Most terrIble guest performance to me. She ruined one of my favorite songs. What I like about it live, is the moment you can hear Keith slightly above or near Mick. You couldn’t hear him in this version because of that woman screaming in this great song. I don’t need a guest appearance. smiling smiley

I copied this from the topic of tour plans. Be don’t want it in that topic I did read after I put this answer to “eisman” It belongs here smiling bouncing smiley

The only guests I’ve seen were Dave Matthews (Memory Motel) and Leah Wood (Thief in the night) at the Amsterdam Arena shows in 1998

I would honestly love to see Paul and Ringo come out with the Stones in England.

Really no one other than them. I would Love to see Bill out there with them but I would no consider him a guest. He is still a Stone 100% to me.

It is always great when one of the Stones comes out as a guest of another performer. I was lucky enough to (Unexpectedly) see Ronnie come out with Chuck at the Ritz in NYC. Of course Chuck introduced Ronnie as Keith...lol.

Eric Clapton and John Lee Hooker on the Atlantic City show.

I'll go for that! Watch Mick's face as he walks to the front of the stage at the end of one of Eric's solo's.

Tom Waits, Buddy Guy.

And I'd like to add John Lee Hooker. That was cool too.

And the other way around, the Rolling Stones as guests on a show of Muddy Waters was amazingly cool too.

With Tom Waits, I loved how he didn't really know where to enter in the song, but both Keith and Mick knew how to fix it. It didn't matter, Tom's voice sounded great anyway.

Apart from that: i like my whisky pure. No ice - and no cola. cool smiley

Not a fan of guest performances either. I think the Stones just aren't the kind of act to do such a thing. Jagger is not your average singer, so when you invite a guest singer, they look kind of out of place to me. Christina Aguilera or Lady Gaga are fantastic singers, but they ruined Live with me and Gimme Shelter in my opinion. I cannot remember a guest performance that actually added something. John Fogerty @#$%& up It's All over Now, Jack White on Loving Cup was a pain to my ears.. Oh there actually is one that I really liked: Bo Diddley on Who do you love?. But that's his own song, so that doesn't really count imo.
