maybe my impression overall is wrong but they do seem as a group to be more open to older music then i would have ever thought

That's interesting. Play them the album ‘The Rolling Stones’ (UK, 1964) and then let them decide whether they would spend their $25 on this album or rather on the next album by Taylor Swift (respectively a present-day musician).

ah that's a trick question

they wouldn't pay for either because no one there age really buys albums

but to be honest gun to there heads taylor

that doesn't mean some of them wouldn't listen to it on youtube or spotify

i did play a bit of david bowie's low to a couple kids and they actually sought it out listened to it and liked it

listen i'm not saying this hypothetical duet is gonna lead to a wave stones mania amongst the youth

i'm saying that it would make a chunk of younger people at least take notice of the band and maybe actually look deeper into the bands music and come away from it liking what they hear

Take it one step further... What are the Stones music rights in regards to ABKCO?
If they re-record ‘The Rolling Stones’ (UK, 1964) today (Mick and Keith's Version), do they have to pay ABKCO anything?

soundboard, if you can't understand what's happened your question probably won't get answered.

One Jagger-Richards song is what you wonder about?

Read the whatever, Variety, about Taylor's deal, slowly, and then reconsider your question.

And if you happen to be watching clips of the Stones from the 60s, they would in fact be mostly black and white!

But that's not what I meant. For younger people, decades-old films/music might feel old.

Yes I know, it's just ironic.
