but for some reason this idea keeps coming up in my mind and if i don't ask it i may do something desperate

so really stretch your imagination and imagine a scenerio where this happened and he stayed with them until 74 just like taylor

and let's ignore the how and why he joined (though if you have some interesting idea go ahead and shoot)

how would bb king have affected there sound?

what songs would he have worked on and which wouldn't he have?

how would he have affected there live performances?

and once again i know it's a stupendously stupid question just humor me please

Or if Axl Rose had subbed every time Mick had Covid or a throat infection.
Or what if Jeff Lyne had produced and co-written the last five Stones albums in stead of Matt Clifford.

Could be but I would point out that Winnipeg is known as Winnipeg to all Canadians, not just Cree.......

Second, he would have been quickly dismissed for taking too much of the spotlight from the Glimmer Twins.

One wonders - who would be paying the cost to be the boss?

...then Ron Wood would have replaced BB King instead of replacing Mick Taylor.

What a hilarious premise in my view. BB was a bluesman through and through though he delved in other styles (Indianola Music Seeds for instance - rock/pop/blues with an excellent supporting cast). I do not think plugging/chugging along with the Stones music would have suited him. Maybe as a one time jam with the band to appeal to the younger crowd and get them acquainted with him and that's that. I see the Stones working more as a supporting band for BB than him as a supporting player for them. If I wanted to relate BB to the Stones and Brian, I'd look at the Stones early albums where they played their version of the blues. These songs would have been more relatable to King than anything the later Stones wrote and played.

Doug Wimbish should have taken Bill’s spot when he left.Mick Taylor was the perfect replacement for Brian.Replacing Brian with BB King is ridiculous .Now had they waited until September 1969 they could have replaced Brian with John Lennon. Except I don’t see Keith getting along with Yoko on stage or in the studio , the Rock n Roll Circus notwithstanding

Mick Taylor was more inspired by Freddie King, so Freddie would have been the replacement for Brian.
