I cannot think of a message which has saddened me more since Charlie's passing.

R.I.P., your Majesty!

When he passes, he will. I don’t think he will abdicate the throne.

This is really so sad. I’m not a royalist, but I think Her Majesty was genuinely liked by so many.

Such a straight character, a sincere, dutiful lady who has dedicated her life to her people. A great loss for the whole world and a very sad day for your country.

I echo the sentiments that this is the saddest news since Charlie's passing. The Queen was held in such high regard I do believe by almost everyone the world over. A woman of supreme humility, dignity, and composure. The absolute epitome of British Royalty and Class, and to have ruled for so long, thru so many changes thru out time, the world, and culture and do it all with such grace is simply astounding. We shall never see the likes of one such as her ever again. It is a very sad day for all Britons, and across the great reaches of the monarchy. It is the end of an extraordinary life and era. Like many in England, I, too, don't know a life without the Queen, and I'm sure many others amongst us can say the same. Of course this day would come, but I join those of you in England in having a heavy heart.

I, too, wish that Charles would step aside and let William take over. For me, the difference between the Queen and Charles could not be more extreme. One beloved by all, the other as polarizing as any who ever walked.

Keith’s views are unimportant. Also, I’m sure he, didn’t dislike Her Majesty, personally. Few had issues with her.

Keith sang at Westminster Abbey. He must surely, in his old age, have affection for such a time.

Well, Keith and the Queen had something in common: neither liked Mick's knighthood.

Plus isn't some sort of urban legend that Keith was singing in Westminister Abbey when she got her crown?

Respect

Her Majesty is a pretty nice girl
But she doesn't have a lot to say
Her Majesty is a pretty nice girl
But she changes from day to day

I wanna tell her that I love her a lot
But I gotta get a belly full of wine
Her Majesty is a pretty nice girl
Someday I'm gonna make her mine, oh yeah
Someday I'm gonna make her mine

RIP to our dear Queen. I am no royalist but really grew to admire her on many levels. She was a true stoic and much more besides. It's really a very sad day and a great loss for our nation.

I noticed on TV the rainbows appearing moments before the announcement of her passing.

By Mick Jagger: "For my whole life Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II has always been there. In my childhood I can recall watching her wedding highlights on TV. I remember her as a beautiful young lady, to the much beloved grandmother of the nation. My deepest sympathies are with the Royal family" - [Twitter.com] .
