Too bad the Ladies and Gentlemen shows weren't filmed like this, instead of all the closeups.

Incredible stuff! Thank you for all of your effort!

Once again, "Happy" from those times keeps amazing me. It was such a Glimmer Twins love fiesta. And no one can sing the chorus like Mick does. Without it it has been a bit torso me thinks. And Mick being heavily involved makes it sound like a full cylinder Stones song like any other, not just a Keith solo spot number.

Were the tempos really that fast in 72?

What really strikes me about this footage, is that there is so little from 1972, CSBlues, L&G and some home movies stuff and Dick Cavett. But in everything that we see, Mick changes his performance nightly it seems, based on what the band is doing, based on how the crowd is and based on whatever mood he is in. There's nothing choreographed about it. It's all spontaneous. No two performances match. I love that.

Excellent stuff. The guy who filmed that gave me an autographed Mick Taylor cd many years ago.

The July 25 evening show is one of the best performances of the tour, the playing is way better and more aggressive than the widely available following night. Very high energy set, the band are giving their all and it is one of the very few times where they managed to get Rocks Off "right". Longest Midnight Rambler of the whole tour, too.
