He gave me a nice big "Hello!" when he saw my Byrds t-shirt, when I spotted him walking around Akron, Ohio on the day of the Sweetheart of the Rodeo show.
It's funny. He kinda looks like one of the band. Fits in with Ronnie's aesthetic.
Yeah he's awesome, saw him way back when he was in Lucinda Williams band, never heard of him before and he almost stole the show.
Some other great guitar work by him can be heard in this song, knew it was him soon as I heard it:

They were great backing up McGuinn and Hillman on the Sweetheart of the Rodeo 50th anniversary tour a few years ago. One of the best moments of the show was when Marty and the boys did their own song, "Time Don't Wait" while Roger and Chris were taking a little break. This version even includes a little bit of an "Eight Miles High" teaser right at the beginning.

Don't know who they are... but they look a bit dodgy to me .
I recall Marty making some very interesting contributions to that Ken Burns Country documentary series a few years ago ...

The real deal. I highly recommend two of his albums as a must regarding his music: The Pilgrim, possibly his best, and Soul's Chapel. The playing, singing and picking on each is superb.

I saw Marty Stuart in 206 in Memphis not knowing what to expect as I wasn't that familiar with his songs, he was fantastic and the band were superlative! His way out west album of 2017 is worth checking out.
I hope he can make it to Australia one day.....
