Torrents or wetransfer and why?

Hello Friends,
The title says it all, if it’s wetransfer is it because you’re not having to learn how to download by torrent? Is it you’ve been sent information that torrents will destroy your computer? As a long time user I’m in favour of uploading my own humble efforts this way. Can I ask for your feedback
Cheers midimannz

I think wetransfer is easier to use for many people. For example you don't need additional software to upload/download files.

I would love someone to show me how to use a torrent site. I can't even get them to open in the UK.

I've never had luck with torrent sites either. wetransfer is the simplest yet.

I love torrent sites like Dime cos a torrent software allows to DL one or two files from one torrent... which very often is enough to know that either the quality sucks or the perf sucks.

With WT you have to get the whole package. It's a "all or nothing" deal.
(plus my Mac is so old I have to rely on another computer to get anything from WT. Not worth the hassle most of the time. But there are exceptions... hi you from very far away!) winking smiley

Biggest issue with Wetransfer is free service links gone after 7 days and pay version is too expensive (each 100gb of storage). Torrents easier once someone gets it figured out. Qbtorrent is an easy tracker to use.

Personally I use WeTransfer competitor Hightail which works the same way and functions as my cloud storage. I pay for that for obvious reasons but can store an unlimited amount and share links or stream in a variety of ways. Are there ways I would improve it, yes but it meets most of my needs.

I agree torrents are the way to go hands down.

Torrents may be the way to go but I have no idea how to use them.

JUst like you need a certain sofware to browse the Net (Opera, Firefox) you need a certain software to manage torrents.
Utorrent is imo great.

And remember you don't download torrents, you borrow the material from other computers/users and you have to give it back to newcomers.
Take then give back.
Take then give back.
Take then give back.
