Very sad news!!!!

She's been on and off sick for awhile now. Very very sad, but honestly glad she can be out of pain and stress. She will be missed because 73 is far too young.

I had an old boyfriend who used to say she was dazzling. Very true. RIP Olivia.

Oh damn, very sad. I've always loved her...ever since first hearing this tune on the radio back in '73 when I was 10 years old.





The country-influenced song was Newton-John's first Top 10 single in the U.S., peaking at No. 6,
and also won her a Grammy Award for Best Female Country Vocalist. --- (Let Me Be There)

Outside of the hit song she did with Travolta, I must confess, I know nothing else of her music. Have watched "Grease" a few times with my daughter. She loves the movie and the characters of Sandy and Danny. Ms Newton-John put up a brave battle regarding cancer. An inspiration. May she RIP.

For me in my adolescence - before discovering the Stones, there was Olivia Newton-John or Olivia Neutron-Bomb, as we used to call her. A delight.

When a recording artist passes away I try to find one song to put on a compilation. Never been a big fan of her music, very simple pop, but I found 'A Little More Love' to have a little grit and sex that a lot of her other work lacked. (Yes I love her in Grease). Too bad I still don't know how to post a freakin' video here.
