Hang on...are you saying we're collectively a little shallow?!

Nah, I'd say that, generally speaking, deep down we're really shallow.

It's good to be good at something...or something.

High tides and green grass, baby.

Sorry, no

This is what we do between tours.

Trolling? Ok, feel free but I would rather not. I remove my comment.

With all the latest Macca-Stones hulabaloo in the press, was hoping there might be more official info. regarding the 2023 tour - even a quick mention of whether it's on, off, or still pending.
Seems that the great Macca-Stones collaboration news was timed to coincide with the tour announcement scheduled for last Friday, but sadly that part of the publicity blitz was cancelled.
On the bright side, all the talk of the new album has given a new sense of hope, and with the addition of Paul McCartney on a track, seems the album just might be getting closer to being completed...finally...hopefully.
Regarding the tour, I guess at this point no news is good news...maybe it is, or maybe it isn't....but when all is said and done hope whoever was injured is healing well to live a happy healthy life.

Think possibly McCartney would join The Stones on stage in 2023?

That could have happened at Desert Trip, but didn't. Perfect opportunity was when they covered Come Together. Instead, Neil Young joined McCartney on stage, I think during A Day in the Life (subject to correction here). But these are new times and I, for one, would love to see it happen.

Can we at least all agree that the Tour, and new album, have to be called Test?

Somebody was way ahead of you on FB:

Yes, I like that "The Test Tour" cool...

Can you pass the flaccid test?

With the ages of the band and crowd, it could be relevant spin on an old line from the Merry Pranksters playbook.

Well, maybe they could offer him a Mick Taylor Special Guest Slot: bring him around the globe to play the bass part in one song (or maybe they could give him a Bill Wyman Special Offer: two songs, but no rehearsal!)

Afterwards Keith could ask him: 'now Paul, how does it feel to play in a proper rock and roll band?' 'Wonderful, Keef. Ronnie has told me stories about it, but I never imagined it would be this cool. John was always so jeolous of you guys, and now I can see why'.

I'd ask for a refund if he did

There have been a number of "not so greats" offered slots to play with, or open for, the Stones. Here, you may have the opportunity of seeing one of the greatest bass players in the world and you thumb your nose at it? I don't understand.

I was there, and it was maybe the single greatest concert moment ever. To see Paul and Ringo on the same stage, and with Ronnie as well!!! If I could see Paul with Mick or Keith or both - that would make my concert year!

Please DO NOT hijack this TOUR THREAD with off topic stuff like Paul McCartney, video clips etc. THIS IS THE 2023 TOUR thread, not the Macca thread.

for those more knowledgeable then myself

do you think the postponement of the tour to the fall changes in anyway the possibility of them playing smaller venues?

is it more or less likely now?

or is it irrelevant?

I think there will be 2 shows at MSG to end the tour.

Just my 2 cents worth.

When you're only playing 14/15 shows with a large amount of money guaranteed, I don't see how it makes sense to play anything other than stadiums where you can gross $10M+ per show.

I may not be more knowledgeable than you, but the 2021 US tour started at the end of September, and beside Hollywood, Florida, they were all stadiums, I think.
