Wow that's bad news...can't say I didn't have a bad feeling about this a while back but refrained from posting. I'm an optimist too but I'm afraid there's a good chance this is the end of the Stones World as we've always known it. Hopefully they'll find it in themselves for some one-time events down the road but now that something's "broken" it's likely going to be hard to change gears.

I had heard about the ridgedale thing but felt it was not up to me to bring it up. But now when bv mentions it i think it can be discussed. Anyone have more info about this gig? Seemed so weird and atypical in the tour schedule i saw.

Well, crap. Thanks, as always, for the info. See them next time around.

I'll "settle" for Dead & Company and Springsteen at Wrigley Field, Chicago!

I'll settle for "Unzipped" expo @ Groningen then for this year. Glad I saw them on their Sixty tour!

Thanks for the update BV. Wish they would have tried an arena tour instead of stadiums. The logistics may have been doable for that.

On the 7th day God created The Rolling Stones

Thanks BV, appreciate the update.

Now that news is out, would it appropriate to ask now “what happened” from reliable sources on why the Feb announcement was cancelled? I don’t mean to discuss rumours or stir anything up but I’m just saddened that nothing is happening now and want to know why it cancelled to begin with.

For example, logistics?, new album delays to promote tour?, illness?, insurance problems?

Thanks

All I can say is that I feel so blessed to have been at Charlie's last show in Miami. Although I planned to see them this time around, it just has not felt the same to me since Charlie's been gone. I hope they are all well and enjoying life. Maybe next time around.

now we have to wait for 2024, with the possibility of some surprises along the way, age and health are less and less than the boys, I wish them and all of us to stay healthy, we could expect everything ... or nothing ... Thanks Stones!

I'm really down. I've seen them seven times last year and they were really great. In a way it was a lifelong dream of mine last year and it was so beautiful that I never want to let it end. I can't imagine life without seeing the Stones live again right now sad smiley Maybe the new tour will start in South America early next year instead?

At least this would be the next opportunity for a tour. Or Asia/Oceania.

My opinion if they are ever to play live again is to have 2 or 3 gigs at MSG over a couple week period and the same at the O2 in London. They can’t be expected to put on big tours with all the travelling and logistics etc again especially now we are talking 2024!

They are not going to tour because of "too much activity this fall"? What does that mean?

Please see my more detailed post above.

That was a wonderful looking tour with a focus on the West and a couple of Canadian dates. Very disappointing however this is reality.

It makes you appreciate how many times they have delivered through the years despite overwhelming challenges most recent being Mick's heart condition and then a of course Charlie's passing.

It seems there are just too many obstacles. Issues getting buildings. Production crew working on another tour. No decision on the album, but that doesn’t rule out it coming out later this year. But it could also be held until next Spring.

I’ll miss them so, I’m very thankful for all the shows I’ve attended— the great music—the different arrangements— the comradery witnessed— what a delivery of music on all 5 senses—

It was always “Look man — it’s THE ROLLING STONES!”

Thankful for this page and all the work that Bjornulf does out of passion.

Hopefully we will see them again in some form.

One big final show streamed around the globe with Bill and M.Taylor plus Taj Mahal and The Who as warm-ups, please. Maybe include Jethro Tull (if they’re still active).

I had to Google Ridgedale. It’s that venue near Branson, MO, that is associated with Bass Pro Shops founder. Garth Brooks played there last year. That would have been interesting…

(Having visions of the gig being promoted by the Byrde family from Ozark…)

Ha, I had to look it up as well.. First thought is it grabbed the crowds from Oklahoma City, Little Rock, and St. Louis, but that “Momentary” venue (if that was the right one) seems small, more like the Milwaukee summer fest, so my next thought was an end of tour show? .. Anyone know? Also, just cuz I’m curious, anyone know if a Deep South show was on the table? Birmingham?

It would be a nice surprise if they were able to make their way down under late this year given the time it's been since their last journey to this part of the world.

Had a gut feeling this would be the case the last few weeks. Sad news but still opportunities to see other artists. My September and October already busy with shows all over the US.

Hello everybody!

I don´t post here a long time. I hope back to see all friends on the road again in anyplace very soon. BUT if we don´t have a new chance we all had very good times touring to see the Stones. Lots of nice memories. We all are lucky guys.

Regards.
