do you think the postponement of the tour to the fall changes in anyway the possibility of them playing smaller venues?

is it more or less likely now?

or is it irrelevant?

When you're only playing 14/15 shows with a large amount of money guaranteed, I don't see how it makes sense to play anything other than stadiums where you can gross $10M+ per show.

Exactly this.

right. The only exception is when money is been generated in other ways. For example: a show in Las Vegas or Atlantic City which is being used by promotors to lure people into the city and into the casinos.

ok so the consensus seems to be that changing to the fall is unlikely to affect there preference in types venue to perform in

well hopefully we'll still get a berlin style show at a unique interesting venue at the end of this tour too

not that i'm complaining they could play a tour of parking gargaes in major city's and i'd still be happy

that sphere thing in vegas looks really cool

perhaps if they play a latin american tour at the end of this year they'll tack on a few vegas dates like last time

Some might be counting the chickens before they're even hatched and/or putting the cart before the horse.

We need more rumours.....winking smiley

And hopefully whoever it is who suffered whatever type of injury that caused the cancellation of the tour announcement that was basically etched in stone is healing well.

Ringos rep says he has nothing to do with the new Stones album. And nothing to do with any Stones project. He is on tour with his own band this summer.

Oh, this is confirmed now by Ringo's reps (and is not a joke...)?

I tried to Google it ("Ringo new Stones album") but damn, it looked like every media was screaming "Paul and Ringo on the new Stones album", repeating the original, but misleading VARIETY story..

His rep mentioned it to Billboard magazine. I think someone posted it. He said something to the effect that Ringo had not done any recording at all with the Stones. I’m paraphrasing.

"Ringo isn't appearing" was per the Stones rep, not Ringo's.

They should ring him.

But yeah, in all seriousness, that "Rolling Beatles" merger story was obviously a joke. It's a rock comedy magazine.

Any news of potential August Chicago date (if they open in Chicago again, maybe)? I'm trying to line up Springsteen tix for August 9 or 11. Just planning ahead. Got a lot of family to get in the door(s).

My guy said it is still postponed but that they were trying to find a time but the Bears have so many restrictions with use of Soldier Field he wasn't sure it would happen. He said the Stones were postponed, some music festival was canceled, and a Drake concert( never announced)was canceled. The Bears have restrictions about how many days between one of their games and another event. I asked if they would move it to Wrigley and he said he didn't know. I have 4 Springsteen for sale on the 11th

Yes, the 11th is our first choice. Where are the seats and what is the cost? My wife, son, and his girlfriend are interested. He's in Andersonville and we went to Dead and Co. and walked home last year and really dug it. Going again this year.

Thanks.

the 2022 NFL football schedule was announced last year on May 12.
Maybe would be announced after this date to confirm venue availability?

Hopefully the postponement doesn’t mean Canadian cities lose out, Vancouver is closer to me geographically but Edmonton is a better deal for accommodations by far. Two nights plus fights is $100 more than a single night in a Vancouver hotel. Sheesh. Airbnb seems an interesting, perhaps more affordable option. When they played Seattle in 2019 I had an amazing place booked very close to Century Link thanks to the advance notice of the show date from this webpagesmiling smiley kudos to bv. But when they had to reschedule due to Mick’s surgery I lost out and ended up paying high for a very basic hotel. Didn’t really matter because the show was incredible and great weather etc. Anyway, anyone on this thread know of anywhere one simply ‘must’ try as far as food and bars go in Edmonton? I’ve been through several times but just thought I’d ask. Flights are super cheap but I’m hesitant because there always seems to be some sort of problem with cancellations these days. I’ve done the drive before. 14 hrs from the coast if ya don’t hold back if I recall.

It’s the Chicago park district with the restrictions

It's not the Park District with the restrictions. It's the Bears. The park District would be more than happy to hold concerts. Money in their pocket. The Bears have been very difficult to deal with over the years. They would have a had a sportsbook in Soldier Field years ago if it wasn't for the Bears.

Really? I was under the impression the Bears had no say on what happens at solider field.

I have heard 12 miles (about 19 km) quoted - no idea how accurate that may be and it's probably less in recent years.

Even in his younger years this was never accurate. Assuming a show lasts 2 hours, he'd have to cover 6 miles in an hour, which would mean he'd be in a constant jog/run the entire concert. As a runner, I'd guess he covers anywhere from 2-4 miles per show.

well, the world record for marathon (42.195) is a little more than two hours – and Jagger's go more things to do during the 2 hours he's on stage than just run
