The Rolling Stones tour announcement, expected for Friday, has been cancelled.
The tour is planned for twelve shows in USA and two shows in Canada this summer.
There might be a rescheduling for the fall.

I am keeping all my hotel reservations for now. There is no hurry to cancel reservations. May be they announce some or all dates later this spring, or they reschedule for the fall.

Why has the tour been postponed ?

Do we know ?

The tour was never announced. We have the luxury of sharing early information about venues, dates and all of that long time before the tour is actually announced, and hotels are fully booked. That is important for us, the fans, in order to book hotels at a budget, plan travel and so on.

If you look into past tours on the IORR news, you will see that several tours got postponed or changed. That is why it is important to have flexible plans. This happened with the tours in 2017, 2019, 2020, among others, so changes are not unknown to us.

I will assume the tour and the album is going had in hand. That is how it has been working in the past.

I don't actually even mind if it gets pushed back to the fall. Would ideally be able to combine it with hockey games and even Bruce shows. We'll see what happens.

Shame, I was nicely filling the hotel bookings.. but indeed this has happened several times.. curious what the reason is this time..

Probably new album delayed

Let's hope the reason is a last minute hitch in releasing a new album because with an official tour announcement due in two days time as BV mentioned; the whole tour was obviously in place to go. Now there "might" be a reschedule for the fall.....its all rather concerning. I just hope they're all fit and healthy and nothing medically is wrong....

I believe that if they had to announce the tour on Friday, the album is ready. let's remember that mick, ronnie and keith are very old. evidently one of them is not able to handle a tour. I remember ronnie's health problem in 2017. In my opinion after the medical checks something didn't go right.

Thanks for the update BV. May the good lord shine a light on this amazing band and keep them safe. Hope they can reschedule for the fall.

Ideally to combine with hockey and one Bruce?? To my mind comes first, and always FIRST:

All the other is from miner importance, if it fits with my HEROES, then it’s okay. Never let my plans interfere with one Bruce or hockey, although I’m certainly not saying that I would pass on hockey nor on one Bruce

Dieter I have earlier written on the album post on IORR the new album will be ready when we reach 1000 pages on that subject and we are only on page 612 or so. Running from 2016 or maybe even from 2006…….. We have a long way to go!
