The Ghosts Hounds did a nice version of Cliff Richards' "Devil Woman" in Charlotte.

I like their song Good oL Days, pretty decent song and when they do that number, it's usually the end of the set which is great.

Shame they are buying their spot. Feels weird. But they are a great opening act. Like them a lot

I know that people talk about that possibility and I don't think it's Impossible but do we have any inside information or any proof that the Ghost Hounds are indeed paying for their opening spot? To me the always sounded very generic. The only song I can remember from the 5 times I saw them is their version of One More Shot.

well, at least it is very conspicuous how often the opened for the Stones in recent years…

I dont have any proof but it makes sense that Tull paid for the spot(s) to open for them.
Do you really think its just a coincidence that they opened so many times for the Stones?
So many other options they could have chosen.

Make me puke! Let's not think of that farce. Ghost Whores aside, I'd like a Louisville show, since Nashville is probably off the table.

Given the Latin America rumors I’ll go with the below (shortened dates that will be for Latin America later in the year.

My Prediction for the 2023 North America Tour:

North America
May - July 2023

SoFi Stadium,Los Angeles,CA,USA
Levi’s Stadium, Santa Clara, CA, USA
BC Place,Vancouver,BC,CAD
Soldier Field,Chicago,IL,USA (2)
Gillette Stadium,Foxborough,MA,USA
FedEx Field,Landover,MD,USA
Lincoln Financial Field,Philadelphia,PA,USA
MetLife Stadium,East Rutherford,NJ,USA (2)

That’s 10 shows leaving 4 - 6 for Latin America later this year.

Hope not. Apart from Chicago, all the US dates you predicted are in CA or the north east. Surely they'd sprinkle in a date in the south.

If we're going strategic, they wouldn't need Landover, Philly, and NJ - all rather close to one another. If NY is in the running, it could most definitely be the new UBS arena. I could see Boston getting a gig - they love playing there, but they were supposed to play Buffalo last time, so maybe it's Buffalo instead of Boston.

I would give newer stadiums/venues not yet played a preference, and definitely would not rule out NOJF being included. Mexico City would almost certainly be a lock, and could easily be the gig after NO. Or before, depending on which direction they're going. I think Vancouver is in the running this time around as well.

I'm sorry to see some of the negativity about the Ghost Hounds. I saw them open several times and really enjoyed their sets. Forget the rumoured economics, they’re a solid band. The singer is very dynamic and great to watch. The 3 women backing vocalists joined the Stones in Amsterdam for Tumbling Dice and were visibly thrilled the be included on the song and the final bows (a class gesture, Stones!) and they were excellent. Compared to some previous opening acts or special guests, they were among the best. If they toured on their own, I’d happily see them.

If the economic rumor is real, that's more on The Stones than The Ghost Hounds, but there are plenty of bands worthier that would love the opportunity. That said, they aren't terrible, and most don't care who the openers are. It all just seems icky, but that's their choice. I wish someone would get to the bottom of the $1M rumor...

Thomas Tull will be transitioning his bullshit band to faux-active status again sometime soon.

And, I expect, more importantly, sending Mick's people million-$-plus deposits for support slots.

yeah, the Stones have found a new way to generate money: sell the support act spot to rich folks

This ain't new though the rich individual band member paying might be.

BC Place looks to be available on June 5th winking smiley

What about the best hotel suites in Van?

The Sandman Hotel is almost next door but beware they boost their rates for big
Concerts.

I'm booking the Pan Pacific.

plexi

Pan Pacific is super nice, right on the water with amazing views.

Yes I know, stayed there in 2006 for the last show of the ABB tour in North America. Just happened to get a flight and a hotel stay there for a good price, AND it just happened to be the band hotel too, unbeknownst to me at the time.

I was near the hotel bar one afternoon, ran into BV, we talked a bit and he then told me that Charlie had been nearby and that in fact, he was right over THERE (pointing) across the lobby whereupon I swiftly strode over to him, waited while he finished talking to someone, then met him briefly and got a signature on a hotel store receipt (had nothing else) but had no camera as it was totally unexpected, it just happened out of nowhere.

But yes, very nice place, we had views of the bay from our room, but I suspect the price in May through July would be a lot more than in November, so I will have to see what the price will be at that time.

plexi

Hotel prices in Vancouver have gone ballistic generally since that time and Pan Pacific will be ugly but I wish you good luck. If they come to Vancouver I'll be fortunate enough to be able to make a short drive in and if need be, crash at a friends place.

Had Lucky Dips for Vancouver for 2020, I don't know if lightning will strike twice but I'll give it the old college try!
