Spring hey guess that is arena’s Vancouver $ Toronto have roof stadium. Wish it was summer tour. May tour NA?

Not going to be arenas. Roofed stadiums or warm enough places to play in late April-early June. Look at what was planned for 2019 and 2020, that'll give you an idea.

I'm wondering if they could "piggyback" some dates with other artists, as done last year with a few Crue/Def Leppard and Green Day stadium dates, and also Billy Joel/Metallica in Vegas last February also...

George Strait just dropped a half dozen stadium dates, too, ranging from May to August.

With summer in NA officially starting around June 22nd, in theory The Stones could do a Spring '23 tour.

The earliest stadium tour start I can recall was Pink Floyd in '94, surprisingly starting end of March '94 in Miami.

BV... Thanks for the encouraging words as always! 2023 is shaping up as another big year for The Rolling Stones!

It's entirely possible but as of now these seem to be LiveNation promoted shows using their infrastructure.

i know it's probably unlikely but what do we think the chances are that they may throw in a few arena or theatre dates for this tour

or even open the tour with a surprise club show

they've ended the last two tours with smaller venues so that seems likely to happen again but could they throw in one in the middle of the tour too

and do we think robert kraft can afford another private show?winking smiley

Well if they plan on making up the Buffalo show it’ll have to be an arena - far too cold in Buffalo in the spring!!!

If they start the tour in April they can play Buffalo end of May/early June just as planned in 2020 (June 6)

No it doesn't. Maybe at 10,000 ft elevation, not in Denver.

Note that BV updated the news page now.

And says "the first tour is rumoured to be a set of shows in North America starting spring time 2023"

Overanalyze this in 1, 2, 3, go!

how does a "set" compare to a "mini tour"..? winking smiley

I believe it's a mini in miniature!!!! drinking smiley

From Simon Boyle in The Sun, October 27:

Ronnie also confirmed the group would be hitting the road again next year.

The Stones will announce new dates for the US in due course, with British fans having to jet out to the States if they want another chance to see them in the next year or so.

In December 2020, officials shut Aloha Stadium down indefinitely due to structural issues.

Wouldn't it be refreshingly nice for a change if they announced their entire touring schedule for 2023 at some stage soon? Give us all, wherever we are, potentially something to look forward to.

Not announcing the tour more than a couple of months ahead of time?

College Football Field Tour?
Posted by: NashvilleBlues ()
Date: October 28, 2022 04:25

It could be cool if they played bigger college football fields. Knoxville, TN, Norman, OK, Ann Arbor, MI, Columbus, OH, Austin, TX, Pasadena, CA, come to mind, and there are plenty of other possibilities.

Baton Rouge, LA and State College, PA have hosted shows, also...

The earlier thoughts on Portland, OR ended up mentioning Autzen Stadium in Eugene, OR as a possibility... anyone here on IORR know when the last time was that a show was done at Autzen? I know The Grateful Dead and some others have played there back in the '80s, but not sure when the last gig was? Just a curiosity...

I remember BV listing Eugene on the rumored list at one point, and later they did end up playing the Rose Garden arena in Portland.

Garth Brooks in 2019 was last show at Autzen Stadium. .

Hi folks,
as I wrote for longer time here....For me: First they should do the new album(after 17 years!!)...and of course they are definitively in the Studio...
...and then a World Tour..
...of course we will, like all older bands, have part of greatest hits!
The best is to enjoy a concert with all the great people!!((hope with some new songs!!)

I still get angry thinking of the canceled show of Honolulu, Hawaii 2006 angry smiley
The same day of the canceled show they played in L.A a rescheduled concert. Me?? Sitting on Hawaii Waikiki Beach…… and no concert. A real bummer flying from the Netherlands. Yes I knew before flying there was no concert, but Icouldn’t reschedule my air tickets without loosing my money.

Yeah. Seems it’d be expensive. If they are truly trying to maximize their profits, seems Hawaii would be out.
