I have no special "insider" information, so I don't really know. Just looking at what markets they didn't hit in 2019/2021 that could be the lone PNW show.

i don't know thinking about it vancouver seems like the only option for the pnw since they had that planned already and had to cancel it

they played the us in 2012, 2013, 2015, 2016, 2019, and 2021 and only played the pnw once in that time

seems like my area is not at the top of there priority list

Vancouver was the last show of 2006, a snowy night! Portland isn't a possibility, assuming all stadium shows, since they don't have a large stadium.

For fun, I'm totally guessing here on the 2023 North America tour cities:

Vancouver, CAN
Buffalo, NY
NYC/NJ
Boston, MA
Chicago, IL
Milwaukee, WI
Portland, OR
OKC, OK
Cincinnati/Cleveland, OH
Louisville, KY
Phoenix, AZ
Indianapolis, IN
Sacramento, CA

Those in the know, are you automatically ruling any of these out, and, if so, why?

Would imagine that it would primarily be the major markets consistent with the 2019 tour (obviously some minor changes, could see Vancouver getting a gig).

Maybe New Orleans and Jacksonville becomes Vancouver and Orlando and the rest stays the same in terms of cities covered (change Rose Bowl to 1 night at Sofi even having played there in 2021?)

Sat Apr 20 2019 Hard Rock Stadium Miami FL USA POSTPONED
Wed Apr 24 2019 TIAA Bank Field Jacksonville FL USA POSTPONED
Sun Apr 28 2019 NRG Stadium Houston TX USA POSTPONED
Thu May 2 2019 Jazz Fest New Orleans LA USA POSTPONED
Tue May 7 2019 State Farm Stadium (University of Phoenix Stadium) Glendale AZ (near Phoenix) USA POSTPONED
Sat May 11 2019 Rose Bowl Pasadena CA (L.A.) USA POSTPONED
Sat May 18 2019 Levi’s Stadium Santa Clara, CA (near San Jose) USA POSTPONED
Wed May 22 2019 CenturyLink Field Seattle WA USA POSTPONED
Sun May 26 2019 Broncos Stadium at Mile High Denver CO USA POSTPONED
Fri May 31 2019 FedExField Landover MD (near Washington DC) USA POSTPONED
Tue Jun 4 2019 Lincoln Financial Field Philadelphia PA USA POSTPONED
Sat Jun 8 2019 Gillette Stadium Foxboro near Boston MA USA POSTPONED
Thu Jun 13 2019 Metlife Stadium East Rutherford NJ (near NYC) USA POSTPONED
Mon Jun 17 2019 Metlife Stadium East Rutherford NJ (near NYC) USA POSTPONED
Fri Jun 21 2019 Soldier Field Chicago IL USA (SAME DATE)
Tue Jun 25 2019 Soldier Field Chicago IL USA (SAME DATE)
Sat Jun 29 2019 Burl's Creek Event Grounds Oro Medonte ONT Canada (SAME DATE)

Totally forgot the proximity between Seattle and Vancouver and that essentially same broader market in new Stones touring model (PNW).

Maybe New Orleans Jazz Fest finally happens, sub Orlando for Jacksonville, and sub Vancouver for Seattle.

Maybe San Diego actually gets a show in their new soccer stadium. Smaller stadium but the economics of it are possible if the Stones want to do it

Really depends on whether they go for "major markets" as indicated, or another run of dates to hit spots not visited for a given time.

Major markets for The Stones, in my mind, maybe 2 shows each:
NY/NJ
Chicago
LA

Close seconds for Stones tours:
Boston
Philadelphia
Miami
SF/Oakland
Dallas
Toronto

Some sentimental logic?:
San Diego, new snapdragonstadium.com, make-up for 2020, replace an LA date
Las Vegas, good money to be earned, this and SD could cover for 2 gigs in LA
Cleveland, make-up 2020 date, covers Buffalo, Columbus and Pittsburgh
Vancouver, almost a no-brainer make-up for 2020, covers the PNW
NOLA Jazz Fest, will they return to make good on this after Superdome 2019?
Baltimore, do this to cover the DC market
Montreal, can Stade Olympique even host a gig? They've had MLB recently
Denver, biggest crowd and gross in 2019 IIRC

Just riffin' here, folks, certainly not an insider, and the possibilities are huge... every building will want The Stones at this stage if they wanna make some profits.

All you folks in these areas, tell us what you think!

As some of us speculated and predicted, the Stones will be back in the USA, though I admit it seemed a long shot it would happen so soon!

As for SoCal, I'd be happy to see them again at the historical Rose Bowl in beautiful Pasadena - this year marks the Bowl's 100th year in existence: Rose Bowl
As for me, I'll be celebrating my 60th year in existence in 2023, so no doubt I'll be ready for one more show! It will be nice to round it all off to an even 65 shows attended, and looks like that might actually happen.
Bring on the Lucky Dips, and let the countdowm begin....thumbs up

Love the OKC, Cleveland, Louisville, and Sacramento wishes! (Placerville is another of my many stomping grounds, would be cool to see Sac again).. And of course, they end it with a Berlin type show in Huntsville at new Orion amphitheater..

All wishes in good fun, but I do believe there’s a real chance for Cincy/Cleveland, and a Southern city (Louisville, Atlanta, or Birmingham)

Myself with them planning on hitting 3 continents next year, I can't see them playing anywhere but the big markets here, stateside. NY, Chicago, LA. Vancouver is owed a show, but then so is Buffalo. They've wanted to do that Jazzfest for a few years now, but that would be 5-6 shows in the US. I really can't see them doing that many here out a total of let's say 20 this tour, due to the ground they're covering, but maybe. Then a few shows in Mexico. Isn't there another big stadium besides Mexico City? That takes you up to 8 shows, assuming all the ones I mentioned already actually take place. Then you've got South America. A pair in Rio/Sao Paulo, a pair of shows in Santiago, and a pair of shows in Buenos Aires, and you're up to 14 already. Are there other places in South America that they usually play? Any places that they've not played before? I could see them possibly adding some other Canadian dates too - Maybe Toronto or Montreal? Calgary or Edmonton? Been a long time since they were up North.

Fun to speculate. I imagine we'll find out soon enough!!!!

They're not necessarily planning to do that. Remember, it was The Sun writing that.

The logistics of touring in Asia or Oceania are probably through the roof. Bruce Dickinson of Iron Maiden reportedly said that the revenue from few shows they had planned in Japan barely covered logistics of shipping their gear via air freight from Australia and then off to Europe.

And that was back in 2020 pre-Covid. Just imagine the costs now. The Stones would need a certain number of shows just to break even, let alone make money. And with the limited # of shows per year since, what, 2012, it's just hard to see 3 continents in 2023.

My major takeaway from what BV said was North America and Europe ("probably" as regards Europe), the rest of the world was just "hopefully".

I think they will go where the money is, and North America is easy money for them. Unfortunately, it's not about whose turn it is or what's fair.

Agreed, it was the Sun reporting, but perhaps there is some validity to it. Perhaps the shorter tours was their way of appeasing Charlie, whom we all know hated being away from home, and in their advanced ages, this was the compromise struck. Now, perhaps they are willing to try a longer trek, IDK. I think as long as they continue to roll, anything is possible really. This is who they are, and this is what they do.

Well said my friend! What you have said - and BV has implied - makes perfect sense. While it is fun for us here to pour over possible dates, frequency of past visits, what is fair or less fair to long neglected locations, etc, etc, etc, it will, in the end, come down to money, logistics, personal energy levels, the health of key people, and cost factors.

Let us be grateful for what we have had, what we are having, and, hopefully, what we will continue to have. At least for now!

The altitude at Red Rocksx has proven problematical for many older performers. If they wanted to play a destination location venue, The Gorge would be easier on their health and holds more people.

I seriously doubt either of these scenarios will happen. If they want to play a large capacity football stadium in the PNW other than Seattle, and don’t want to hassle with the Canadian border as a Vancouver show would entail, Autzen Stadium in Eugene, Oregon would suit their needs.

Seattle was such a good show on their last visit, and has the wealthiest demographic in the region to tap, so it may make the most sense. I certainly wouldn’t have a problem if that was their choice.

Seems like North America in 23 and Europe in 24 is likely.

Outside of those continents, I think the profitability/logistics required provides a less than 50/50 probability of actually happening imo.

Don't think they will have any hassle at the border, they've played here 6 times since 89 no problem.
