One thing that surprises me when everyone talks about their ages is that I look at Elton John, 75, who will have done 300 shows on this farewell tour! I know he doesn't move like Mick does, but still, he's up there in age. Going to see him tonight in Vancouver, he's also playing tomorrow night here. He just finished 2 shows in Tacoma. His band includes original drummer Nigel Olsen, guitarist Davey Johnston and percussionist Ray Cooper so they're in their 70s too.
Rod Stewart is 77, McCartney is 80 and they play lots of shows, although they have younger musicians backing them and don't move as much as Mick does.

Cleveland, Lexington, and would be fun to see them add Huntsville at their new Orion amphitheater.. They won’t (unless they pull a Milwaukee/Berlin) but with Huntsville super-growth the past couple years (largest city in Alabama now) and people like Stevie Nicks playing the amphitheater it’s getting good attention.. And it’s smack dab between Birmingham and Nashville travel wise so would pull those crowds, even Atlanta folks could drive over — Rolling Stones Rock Rocket City!

Yes! Huntsville would be a short drive for me. I doubt it'll happen, but fingers crossed.

While I would absolutely love this, it's highly unlikely as Orion has a capacity of 8,000. I saw My Morning Jacket there last month and it is indeed a neat venue, but if the Stones play Alabama (again, highly unlikely), I would imagine it would be at the also new Protective Life Stadium in Birmingham that seats 47,000. Huntsville might have a higher population in the city limits, but Bham metro has many more people.

If you look at their touring history 2012 to 2022, you will see they like to have a gap of 6-12 months between sets of 14 shows.

In 2016 they did 14 shows in Latin America Feb/Mar, then 4 shows (5 scheduled) half a year later in USA. The 2019 USA tour was done with 17 shows, rescheduled from April 20 to June 21, the tour success is a proof of how great they are at making tours happen, despite of Mick's medical procedure, and the hurricane challenges in New Orleans and Miami.

Then the 2020 USA tour was delayed due to the pandemic, 15 shows originally announced for 2020 turned into 13+2 shows during Sept-Nov 2021.

The 2022 European tour with 14 shows happened mostly during June-July 2022, with a gap of just 6 months from the tour in USA 2021. One show lost (Bern) was replaced by an additional show in Berlin.

The way they approve new tours is a mix of history, insurance/risk, travel, pleasure and marketing. They get older, they need rest, but they do still enjoy being in front of large crowds. It takes a month of rehearsals to get ready, and 14 seems to be a good number of shows for a tour. Then add a new album to be promoted in 2023, and you have the formula of another great touring year.

In 1997 they were late with the album, Blessed Poison, then renamed to Bridges To Babylon, they rushed co-credits to k.d. lang on Anybody Seen My Baby, even in they did not have to, time was short, and the single and tour was coming up.

In 2005 they announced the "On Stage" tour at a press conference May 10. One month later they mixed the new album in LA, but the tour and album title "A Bigger Bang" was a big secret until tour start.

For 2023 they have the opportunity to release both the album and the new tour, without having to rush things. I am sure their marketing, PR and the band's own wishes will give us another great tour or two, most probably in the major markets, but who knows, if we are lucky, they should be able to tour the entire world during 2023-2024, given health and world economy is on our side.

My two cents predictions are:
-February/March South America+Mexico or Japan/Aussie/NZ

-End of September/November US+Canada

-May/July 2024 Europe with 2 final giga in London

Another scenario could be:
- April/June US+Canada

- February/March 2024 South America+Mexico or Japan/Aussie/NZ

- September/October 2024 Europe with 2 final gigs in London 02 Arena

elton is great but moving on and off stage is the only moves he makes. And he barely makes that.

Didn’t Argentinian promoters say no South American visit next year?

And with the logistics and cost of the next show being thousands of miles away the cheap seats would be $5000 each. Think people think. Geez

All true, still, playing 2 1/2 hours last night and tonight, doing the same earlier this week in Tacoma has to be tiring for him and his band.

It is not logical to have a 60th Tour Without North America. It is where they built their legacy in so many ways. I think it will all be MAJOR markets: New York (2), Boston (2), Philadelphia, LA (2), San Diego, Las Vegas (2), Seattle, Vancouver, Toronto (2).
That being said, here ever they play net, I'll be there....

I think the 2023 tour will be dubbed something else than SIXTY as there's a new album on the way.

But yes - rumors about a US tour are heating up.

Their first album was released in 1964, so it will be "just" 59 years ago next year... I am sure they will come up with a great tour/album title, it should last through the new world tour. They could call it "SIXTY" still of course, but that sounds more like a nostalgia title.

They'll never do this, but an homage to Charlie in the title would be nice, something like:

"Watts Missing"

But I'm sure they wouldn't do it just because it could be perceived to be trading off his name or memory.

They just did 2 in LA so I can't see enough demand for another 2, especially since SOFI stadium wasn't used to full capacity. If it's being promoted as a final tour, then yes, there will be huge demand. Look at Elton!

II don't think it'll be promoted as the final tour. I'd be surprised if so, considering what Mick's said in the past.

I'm feeling certain Charlie will be featured prominently on the new album. But I don't think they'll name it after him or anything like that. Rather I beleive they will remain stern about their position and always looking forward. Even if it's the end. I think it's something we all like about them?

they could follow Bob Dylan who named his current tour after his new album: 'Rough and Rowdy Ways World Wide Tour 2021-2024' (note the time span '2021-2024' (he will be 83 in 2024))

I would think Atlanta will be on the U.S. tour list and possibly another city in the south if the tour does come to North America.
