something to add to the seemingly endless line trashy biographies on mick

all the more reason mick needs to do his own and set the record straight (no pun intendedwinking smiley)

Not that there's anything wrong with that...

As for Keith, remember that Q interview in 1999?

-Have you ever cut out the middle man and shagged each other? the journo asked, which to Keith replied- "I'd rather shag a poodle."

The part of the poodle makes me think of the verses of Frank Zappa's song 'Dirty Love'.

Who cares? Even if it's all true? It was the 60s and 70s. They were all young, and may have experimented. A large percentage of the population does. Big f'ing deal.

We can thank the Daily Mail for letting us know Boshoff’s book isn’t worth buying.

Is it her book, though? She's one of the Mail's journalists.

Sorry, I assumed Boshoff was the author of the book rather than the writer of the piece in the Mail. Anyway, it’s a book to steer clear of so thanks for your post.

Yeah, it's not for me, either.

And we now have a follow-up article!

It's really about them being pictured together in New York, after a recent recording session, but they mention 'bombshell' in reference to yesterday's revelations!

How would anyone know if it was a sexual relationship or not, this is all conjecture and gossip, i don't doubt Mick and Keith loved and admired each other but it's another thing to say they were lovers.
Keith Richards says he doesn't fancy men anyway, i see no reason to doubt his words. i know who i believe, on the other hand i don't really care, its personal and private.
OK on with the show.

If the Daily Mail published an article claiming that the sky was blue then I’d go outside and check. It’s an awful newspaper.

"The Stone Age" was published in the UK months ago.

Hats off to Ms. Boshoff and the scabrous fishwrap that employs her for such a timely article.

I am surprised Elton John wasn't mentioned in the article.

Just for the record, from the article, "Lesley-Ann Jones says in her new book The Stone Age..."

This looks to be among the most made-up writing about the band, imo, from what A. Boshoff's article claims is in Jones' book.

Seems to have more than a 'passing knowledge' for sure. Unless maybe they showered in the locker room after a game of cricket?

is this one known ? any good ?

I was planning to buy it, but then I read some of the reviews on Amazon that said the author must have really hated Mick because the whole book was very anti-Jagger. A good reason for me to not buy it.

There's only three things to say about the last decade, Mick's girlfriend killed herself, they finally put out a Blues album and Charlie died. Two deep trajedies and a great record.

This is interesting psychology ...
A (sucessful) woman who hates Mick Jagger??? I read she was on tour with the Stones long time ago. What happened? An emancipated woman being treated by Mick the opposite way? Rejection? Humiliation? Mick is notorious for playing games with (some) people. Did he hit the wrong string of her?
On the other hand, making sure the reviews point out her "hate" can make potential readers curious. Good selling objective.
Well, I wouldn't buy that book myself. Spending $ 25 to discover a possible two or three aspects, based on the opinion of yet another writer, I haven't read in almost a hundred Stones related books? No way, despite the above questions, I'd rather just spend it on Stones music ... because that makes me happy cool smiley

I read it…. Total rubbish. A Jagger hater I feel by the scathing words on the pages.

I will give mine away , it certainly won’t sit here in my extensive library

I have read Lesley-Ann Jones' book too. And yes it is full of antiJagger dirt and rubbish. But in a strange way it also has a retro ring to it that is quite funny.
Her Mick Jagger is really dangerous, he is the devil himself and will currupt the civilisation as we know it.
It's like the dangers of the sixties are back and no sane parent would let their daughter mary a Rolling Stone.
