At the Marriott in Lyon. Staying put for the day until show time to stay out of the heat. I did go to the Shidoobee party last night which was fun - got to meet Uber fan ‘Gail on the rail’.

I find it absolutely unbearably hot here. I went out for an hour, planning to eat but I just got some filled bagels and crisps and things, had a wander and came back to my hotel room. I understand 1 litre water bottles are allowed tonight and not the usual 500ml. Hopefully refills are possible inside otherwise this could be carnage.

Yeah it's crazy, even in the air-conditioned TGV I'm sweating bullets! I don't know how unfit people can cope TBH...

I'll take a 1 litre bottle but it's not super convenient to lug around a large uncapped bottle!

Yep. this is the thing to do when entering events.
Have a extra bottlecap with you.
Will save you a lot of trouble if bottles are only served open at the venue.
And its so small that bringing one for nothing is not a issue.
