Thanks, great footage. I wonder if the one who used that camera is still amongst us.

Wow, I was at that show! LA Forum. Now, I don’t know if this is from the early or late show. They played twice that night I was at the first show. That is still the best concert I have ever attended, not just because of the Stones, but BB King and The Ike and Tina Revue and Terry Reid.

from the description on youtube

Venue: The Forum, Inglewood, CA
Date: November 8th, 1969 (second show)
Format: 1/2 Open Reel Videotape, BW, sync sound + audience audio

These brief excerpts have circulated around for a number of years, and apparently come from a longer but still incomplete tape of the late show at the Forum. I unfortunately do not have any additional footage, but if you have any leads/info, let me know!

wow so if i'm understanding this correctly there's a tape of the last half of the second show at the forum that's in existence

and also there's a tape of the first half of the detroit show

put those together and you basically have a complete 69 show on video!grinning smiley

I did that one a while ago:

[youtu.be]

Based on matching audio with the audience recordings, my understanding is that the 8mm film is the early show and the b/w tape is the late show. Taylor's outfit is different between the two which provided me with the visual clue.

I don’t know. They only played You Gotta Move at the second show, so whichever clip contains that is definitely the second.
