He left the stage with his band after few notes at the beginning.
The mike was replaced twice.
Insults to the soundboard guys.
And bye, bye.
The crowd was furious (25,000 people)

What a surprise!

Never liked his band. Poseurs.

They're no different than Hootie And The Blowfish - that many people can be wrong.

Except hootie and the blowjob never sold out the equivalents of MSG and Staples Center in Europe or UK for that matter, nor were they huge in Argentina, Mexico, Chile, Japan and pretty much all ovet the world (I've met Oasis fanatics in diverse places like Iran, South Korea, Bahrain, Tunisia and New Zealand. Doubt they know anything about hootie and the blowjob). Too much GMOS make people hate other cool people? Maybe that is it? A proper Rock n Roll band should sound good AND look good. Just like the Stones, Black Crows, G n R, Temptations, Supremes, Jimi Hendrix, The Meters, The Band, Oasis and the other greats. Sorry, that is just the way it is. hootie and the blowjob ain't in that league.

If you don't care about the looks, charisma and Rock n Roll attitude of a proper Rock n Roll band, why don't ya go listen to Shostakovich, Wagner, Mozart and those other cats who are far superior musically than most 20th century Rock n Roll artists?

Looks, charisma and rock n roll attitude? To be a rock band, you must fit this criteria. How utterly shallow. If The Stones dressed less stylishly, you wouldn’t like them as much? Sounds ridiculous because it is. Would El Mocambo sound not as good if they were wearing sweatpants? Your thought process lead to hair metal, and other image-based MTV tripe.

And there you go with Mozart. Almost no one thinks rock is the highest form of musicianship. I like it for what it says and how it makes me feel, not because it is the epitome of musical perfection.

Well, wearing spandex or lipstick ain't my criteria of looking cool or having charisma if we ought to bring up hair metal. And yes, I wouldn't dig the Stones as much if they wore sweatpants at the El Mo or looked like pearl jam or hootie and the blowjob or nick cave.

Those cats do not look like Keith Richards, Waylon Jennings, Bon Scott, Jimmy Page, Liam G or Rod Stewart, ie they lack all forms of Rock n Roll DNA. Good luck to them and all, musicically they are surely interesting but not in a Rock n Roll kind of way. You want much more from your favourite bands and I would much rather listen to Shostakovitch than boring radiohead even if radiohead's music happens to be "clever".

Cornell could do what Liam does but Liam couldn’t sing like Cornell. Like what he does or not, Cornell is a far superior vocalist. Liam can’t even come close to approaching Cornell’s range or power. Do some research, the vast majority is in my camp, not yours.

Please provide proof of Liam’s superiority. Have a feeling I’ll be waiting.

So funny how you think you are right and we are wrong.Absurd.

Isn’t that what you’re doing? Let’s be honest here.

Which I have no trouble believing. I always thought McCarrolls drumming suited Oasis best, he had a very punk feel to his drumming, and you can hear it all over Definitely Maybe. Noel took the music in a different direction and said he didn’t think Tony was up to drumming on the songs (bollocks I think...)

From CLASSIC fM. Written by Sophia Alexandra Hall.

Oasis singer Liam Gallagher stopped playing the violin over fears he’d be bullied at school
The Oasis frontman, singer and iconic tambourine player, could have brought a very different sound to the 1990s rock band if he had continued playing the violin...
Liam Gallagher rose to fame in the 1990s as the lead vocalist of the English rock band, Oasis, alongside his brother, Noel.
The brother’s mother, Peggy, bought the future rock stars their first instruments when they were children. Noel was gifted a guitar from Peggy, which she brought from a mail order catalogue, while Liam was given a violin.
According to Supersonic: The Complete, Authorised and Uncut Interviews, the violin cost £30, putting their mum into debt.
Liam was apparently miffed that his elder brother had been given guitar lessons, so as soon as his mum had paid off the classical instrument, he told her, “I’m not carrying that violin up to school, people will think I’m a sissy”.
The 49-year-old rockstar has come a long way from worrying about what other people think when it comes to his music career, and has achieved four Number 1 solo albums, as well as seven Number 1 studio albums as part of Oasis.
Read more: Classical music perfect for creating that Oasis of calm after a long day
Despite not growing up to become a professional violinist, the sound of the string-instrument obviously stayed with Liam and his brother, as in 1994, Oasis released ‘Whatever’, a song which heavily featured a small string ensemble.
Written by his brother Noel, and performed by string-players from the London Session Orchestra, the track entered the UK’s singles charts at Number 3 in December 1994. It was the longest song the band had ever released at the time, at 6 minutes, 21 seconds.
But the violin’s presence had more impact that just one song in Liam’s discography. In 2019, the world discovered the Manc musician loves classical music.
Liam tweeted that he was listening to Erik Satie - a 19th century French classical composer - and chilling out. This caused his followers to start Googling who this artist was, and ask for song recommendations so they could listen too.
Read more: Pianist Igor Levit plays excruciating 20-hour Satie piece, to highlight artists’ plight during coronavirus pandemic
Whilst Liam didn’t end up sticking with the violin as a child, there’s always time to come back to the instrument, especially if he’s since developed his interest in classical music.
So Liam, don’t look back in anger at the musical opportunity you missed; as this 89-year-old musician who passed his Grade 3 piano proves, you’re never too old to be a music student again.

Believe it or not, carrying a violin back then most likely would have gotten you beaten up every time you took it out in public!! I got the “are you gay” when I started carrying a guitar to school for lessons once a week!!! The area Liam grew up in came with knives, hammers and a lot of people using them frequently. Football Hooligan background mainly.

I’d say it’s a lot of people’s experiences... That’s just the way it was back then and that was the early 90s!! I also had foot long hair which didn’t help. Books, music all that was “gay stuff”

Interesting thought mate. I am convinced Tony would not have been able to play like Alan White, great lad as he is. The best drummer for Oasis for me though is Zak Starkey. The stuff he does on Cigs and Alcohol during the spring tour of the US in 2006 is just pure class! Great lad to hang around with too, remembers your name and asks stuff about you as well. Just like Liam and Noel mind you.

Glad they've split up though as I've since 2009 been able to put all my money on the Stones.

I'm not a Hootie fan so you've already, unknowingly, started off wrongly bigly. No big on my part - I don't care. Oasis = piss.

Did Oasis sell 14 million copies of their first album? That's what the reference was about being that that many people can be wrong.

Looks? That's beyond laughable. In regard to Oasis or one of those morons going solo, a wet mop is a perfect example of their "looks".

It's one thing to be an Oasis fan, a "band" of only imitation, but it equivalates to... nevermind. Over your head.

I was in no way being a keyboard warrior. I joked “Are you Bruce Lee” which maybe you are if you beat off car fulls of drug heavies unarmed. Personally 2 maybe 3 back when I was younger would be all I’d fend off unarmed. But I’m a long 25 years past the need for that nonsense.

I got no problem with you, so no need to invite me for a drink. If you don’t like Gallagher or Oasis, that’s fair enough. I can see why some don’t. I can go for a drink surely, but have a reason to invite me... Again. I think you took it up wrongly.

IMO there's no excuse for how Liam left the stage. I actually thought he was getting zapped from the mic; didn't even know about his larynx bla bla. Bottom line - nowadays folks fork out a lot of cash for a show, and it has never been 'Rock'n roll" to disrespect your fans.

Besides that I love Oasis, and IMO Liam is a topnotch lead singer. But these things come down to personal tastes. I see above some discussion comparing Liam and Cornell. Okay, I myself will reach across the room to change the dial if I hear Cornell's screeching voice. I prefer Liam, or Casablanca or Lou Reed; but thats all it is: personal prefernce.

More proof he is a tough guy who doesn’t care what people think. Hahahahha!!!

Well... some people have spines. The rest are jellyfish.

Faced down a few lads with knives and hammers have we? You Bruce Lee?

I've avoided the idiocy of having a boot print in my forehead unlike Irish lads in Amsterdam having a good time.

And... does having faced down some Middle Eastern drug dealer that sent a team of cars after me count?

Say what you want behind your keyboard like a weekend warrior that mows his lawn with ignorant and arrogant excellent technique - I'll remain amongst the snakes, alligators, frogs and lizards.

Come hang out, we'll drink Andygators together and laugh!

What have Irish lads in Amsterdam got to do with me?

I was in no way being a keyboard warrior. I joked “Are you Bruce Lee” which maybe you are if you beat off car fulls of drug heavies unarmed. Personally 2 maybe 3 back when I was younger would be all I’d fend off unarmed. But I’m a long 25 years past the need for that nonsense.

I got no problem with you, so no need to invite me for a drink. If you don’t like Gallagher or Oasis, that’s fair enough. I can see why some don’t. I can go for a drink surely, but have a reason to invite me... Again. I think you took it up wrongly.

Got it. Probably did take it wrong. Sorry about that. But most of it was said with a giggle, especially the weekend warrior lawnmower bit - that's so over the top absurd - on purpose, of course. Hard to tell when someone is giggling. sometimes.

@PalaceRevolution

Have you seen the 2019 Liam documentary?

[m.youtube.com]

It’s as real and open as I’ve seen Liam be.
