Tony Sirico, who played the impeccably groomed mobster Paulie Walnuts in “The Sopranos” and brought his tough-guy swagger to films including “Goodfellas,” died Friday. He was 79.

Sirico died at an assisted living facility in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, said his manager, Bob McGowen. There was no immediate information on the cause of death.

A statement from Sirico's family confirmed the death of Gennaro Anthony “Tony” Sirico “with great sadness, but with incredible pride, love and a whole lot of fond memories.”

RIP Paulie Walnuts........
I will watch a couple of classic Sopranos episodes tonight and raise a toast to one of the great characters in the greatest show of all time (in my humble opinion)...
It's impossible to imagine any other actor playing Paulie.

My favorite scene was when he went into a Starbucks kind of nuevo place and got angry that they stole the expresso, Capuchino and pastries from the Italians

Thr bold part just reminded me of the running gag in the show: the nursing home vs it's a retirement Community (green grove)
