Totally good explanation...it's just odd that it's radio silence about it. Clearly there's interest, you'd think it would be in their interest to just come out and explain what's going on and amp up the expectation for the release.

Well no one’s really lost anything here. Our orders are still placed, and if it ever gets released, we will be some of the first ones to own it!!! And who knows, maybe the price of vinyl and other parts goes up between now and then, such that the price we paid makes this long wait seem all that much more worth it. I for one don’t really too much about this one. I know the order’s out there and as long as it’s not cancelled, I see it as all good.

Are there youngsters with Instagram over here?

Somebody at Steve Hoffman's music forum stated that ABKCO put a story/teaser on Instagram showing multicolored records (In Mono box). Apparently, some kind of announcement is on the way. But I am too old to create Instagram account, so at the moment this is just an unconfirmed rumor from my side.

It's on a Instagram Story - there're also free web-viewers for that (no accounts needed). But there's currently nothing about this upcoming release on Abkco's Twitter, Facebook or Website.

Love it! Looks like DECCA and London Labels. Hope they have the teal DECCA label for TSMR, that would be a nice touch.

Well I always wondered what the effort was all about selling these super limited release items for a fairly reasonable price. They couldn't have made much money on them.

Was it just to market the Carnaby store in general, ie you're there for the vinyl...oh look, a cool shirt/mug/poster?!

yeah it clearly was a "buzz" creator to attract people to the store. Half were sold at the store. But that practice lead to some sort of riot in the nearby Queen store or something like that, so they wisely decided to put an end to that. Although some of us hoped too for some of the classics like Exile to appear on Red. My red collection is complete (except for the not so limited 4LP Honk).

Rather unlikely since the Mono-Box is Abkco while the post-1971 releases are Universal Music.

240,000 Vinyl-Discs for Paul McCartney (3,000 boxes x 80 discs) - [iorr.org] - now it's clear why the pressing-plants are busy by Universal Music and why there's no capacity for Abkco's Mono-Box.

I have the original Stones Mono box set. It is a mixed bag. Some of the pressing are not great. And to be honest a lot of their early albums were really poorly recorded with poor fidelity. The best sounding of them are Aftermath and Between the Buttons.

That puzzles me ?

Original examples their first and second UK Decca albums sound absolutely stunning. .

in the first release in 2016 there was a pdf promoting the collection there will be something like this and the Stones are more important than paol Mcartney

I am not buying this box of colored vinyl. So, if you need, you can get mine (on your cost) .

Not a fan of the colours by the way. For the >1971 catalogue, it would fit, but sixties material should be black..in my humble opinion, of course..

Looks like (first) as a boxset since the box can be seen in the second Abkco picture in the background. Maybe also a release as individual albums later on like Universal Music did it with the Studio-Albums 1971-2016.
