I saw that and tried three times. Each time I get the file but it won’t play. Well it plays but there’s nothing on it. Like a strait line as it plays with no sound indicators these usually have when I play it on my phone.
I really appreciate you doing this for me. I’m about to download now. My guess is something has changed on my iphone and instead of it downloading the flac for me to open its already treating it as open and not having the file to play. I’ll let you know if this works. And again thank you so much.

so this mystery is driving me nuts
glimmerman shared this new outtake here
but he has no idea when and where it was recorded
my guess is its a outtake from 69-73
other have suggested it as a vl outtake or dirty work
but i would like to see more discussion about this so i started this thread hoping more people might add there opinions since this new track hasn't garnered the attention i think it deserves

Isn't this from that batch of outtakes from Voodoo Lounge that came out a couple of months ago? I forgot the details, but it was mostly unlistenable writing sessions, with a drum computer.

Given that the new tracks Glimmerman offered us mostly came from 1993 I'd say it's from the VL sessions.

perhaps but keith sounds younger here to me and so does mick
and glimmerman who was the source for those vl outtakes and this one says he has no idea where or when this comes from
plus there the connection to it's funny from c-cksucker blues with the line fragile like china in the song
and perhaps the unreleased carley simon/mick duet also called fragile
perhaps this could've been some very early version of that
if so maybe matt lee could let us know if this sound like an early version of that song

Sounds to me like it could be from the 1985 writing sessions that previously got leaked in horrible quality on "Hammingbird Disaster". Probably not from VL as Keith sounded nothing like that by that time ;-)

Definitely sounds earlier than 90s vocal-wise from Keith. Mick too but a bit harder to tell with the falsetto.

What IMHO speaks against the Barbados VL session is the acoustic guitar and handclapping. None of them is present in any of the other songs on the 4 h tape.

Yeah, not from the tapes given to Glimmerman to put something together for Voodoo Residue and then for what we got last year as that would certainly have been selected!
And I still think this sounds like a pre-86 Keith and also not much like "Don't want somebody else" that is from 93 based on the announcement.

Not sure what the issue is. I download the file just fine there’s just nothing there for me. Now I am only able to download on my phone, yet I’ve had no trouble with files in the past. What is kind of funny is I know I’m having the issue, thus ask to have the song emailed to me. And instead I get directed to links that aren’t working for me lol. It’s ok though. Maybe I’ll hear it one day
