No, there was no pit - [iorr.org] . Steven Tyler and many other celebrities were in a VIP-area in the stands of the Waldbühne - [iorr.org] , [iorr.org] . See the old live-thread from 2014 - [iorr.org] .

Yes, it definetly is a fantastic location. The view is from every place fantastic and the sound is outstanding! No echos but a warm and bright sound is possible. And: For classic concerts they sell much more tickets for the venue! If I'm correct, its about 40.000. So you have plenty of space to dance and shake your ass!

The venue has a similar layout to the Hollywood Bowl nestled on a hillside, though the capacity is a bit larger at 22,000.
As someone else mentioned, probably shouldn't expect any surprises or a different setlist compared to the stadium shows.
If anything, it will be similar to the shortened/standard setlist at the Hollywood Florida show, and the tickets will be drastically overpriced.

Yes - a very special venue. I was there 2014. And it has a very famous Stones history, too...
BTW: the narrator at the beginning tells complete bullshit: that this was the last gig, they had Brian with 'em (1965!!!) - the rest is a clear picture about what a generation gap can be ... (if you know German, that is)

IT was only one Standing area called "Innenraum" in 2014 and IT was around 300 Euros If i remember correct.

As far as I remember, Tyler sat in the first row. With his walking stick. As said before, no pit, just one standing area. And, as said before, best venue on this tour, almost magic. Be there!

I don't think Lucky dips were ever more expensive than 70 euros (aprox. 140 euros a pair),in the US even less.
In Stuttgart 2018 I had a seat foe less than 100 euros, so the idea behind the lucky dips for "true" fanz would get a bit lost.

Pretty sure they need to make up money for the swiss show. So they need a big place, available in a strong market. With the world cup football all leagues start early so pretty sure this was the best solution regarding all things. But tickets will be expensive.
