So sorry for all you folks having come to Amsterdam to see the show!

And Mick: get well and stay strong! And the band and all teh staff, too!

Mick's strong and at good health, he must be vaxxined at least three times, I'm sure. So let's hop for the best and an even quicker recovery for Mick!

Sad news, for everybodysad smiley

Things do not have to be the same, but here is two articles about how Covid 19 affected 2 in Aha (Norwegian band) and the singer's voice recently. It took some time:

I've got nothing original to add: really sorry for the fans who have travelled and were anticipating tonight's show. Also fo the band and crew...you know they want to play...very best ones, Mick.

Clapton recovered quick, Bon Jovi did not,

Hope they recover soon and just Amsterdam (and Bern?) get new dates

I wish you a speedy recovery, Mick! I hope the rest of the band haven’t caught it too. To all the fans who traveled so far, so very sorry for you. Man, I hate this virus. It just keeps on f*cking things up!

Clapton was tested positive shortly after his second show at the RAH (May 8th) and had to cancel the next shows (May 17-21). His next show was Berlin (May 29). He had to cancel just four shows since there were some longer gaps in his schedule.
Still it took him at least 10-14 days to recover

That's unexpected and sad news. I sure do wish Mick a speedy recovery and that no one else in the band or crew has tested positive.

I'm sorry to all the fans who travelled to the show. It must be very frustrating.

Yes, terrible news, and sorry for all the fans, along with Mick and the band..

Regarding some of the upcoming shows, I'm half way expecting to hear the dreaded:

"Out of an abundance of caution, the band have decided to postpone...."

Heard that phrase quite often throughout the pandemic, but really hoping it doesn't come to that again for all involved.
Hoping Mick makes a quick and speedy recover...keep on rolling...

I first thought about his muscle condition side effects. Hope he's feeling reasonably well I don't even know anymore if I'm in bad taste

my guess is that they will cancel/postpone the next two shows (Bern and Milan) tomorrow to 'win' some time and then see how things develop

What a mess...aside from hoping Mick has a quick and speedy recovery being the #1 priority, I'm thinking of the fans who are planning to attend Bern and Milan, and even the Hyde Park shows.
The sooner the band can make a decision, the better...would save a lot of people a lot of hassle (traveling, etc.), but I guess they want to wait it out with postponing or cancelling being a last resort.

yeah that would be the only prudent thing to do. Even with a quick turnaround he needs some actual recovery time.

Antiretroviral drugs will surely be available for Mick and there is clinical evidence of excellent results if given early in infection both in reducing serious symptoms and shortening illness. I don't know if they can be given prophylactically for those not yet testing positively who are at risk. I would be most worried for Ronnie bearing in mind his recent illness.

They can probably go ahead with postponing Bern. "Testing free" can be hit or miss but that much is common sense

Let's hope for the best but prepare for the worst. Could be he's back on stage in great shape next week but could also be he'll be knocked out for a few weeks. People react totally different to this virus and it depends on a lot of factors.

Rescheduling the Amsterdam show 'll be problematic : the Eredivisie ("premier league" dutch football championship) is beginning on august 5th 2022.

The Johan Cruyff Arena is the home of Ajax Amsterdam.
