it wasn't really an escort but at Hamburg 2017, Düsseldorf 2017 and Berlin 2018 they made you go straight into the venue after you picked up your LD tickets (same as Waldbühne 2014)

This shouild be such a good show, coming at just the right time,
with an enthusiastic audience in a great city!

cancelling a show two or three hours before show time? has this ever happend before?

I was taking a phone call outside the venue and missed the PA announcement that it’s cancelled. Heading back to the city now
