Let's not get into a covid discussion here. There is and will be different opinions about this virus and how we handle it. But we all want Mick to get better soon and to continue the tour and maybe it will have one good thing: I might be able to go to Amsterdam after all. After Stockholm will not work so it has to be between HP1 and Brussels.

The band is traveling with a Infectious Disease Specialist, a Covid Compliance Officer, nurse and two doctors. They also have a PCR testing machine. They have ALL (band members, the entourage and family/guest) been vaccinated and double boosted.

They are in a “bubble” with strict protocols, especially when indoors. They are ALL tested regularly.

Mick felt bad after the soundcheck and was tested again and was positive.

The main concern, of course, is Mick’s recovery and anyone else that may have contracted the virus.

BV was spot on in his earlier post. The last tour was BEFORE Omicron arrived in the States. The Omicron variant causes breakthrough Covid. So it is more of a risk this tour.

They are doing the best they can. These comments about Covid being an “excuse” to cancel a show are beyond ridiculous.

Many years ago (2003) also Amsterdam was cancelled (Mick's voice), also nice weather, relaxed mood. Yesterday looked like a copy, really.

Yes georgie, I had mentioned that show earlier in this thread as I was also there.
To be honest, after seeing quite a few shows back to back just prior to that, and having quite a few more to come in the days and weeks ahead, that particular postponement was actually a welcome one. lol
Still stung a little bit, but especially felt bad for those who were only attending the one show. For me it was a brief respite in the eye of the hurricane...a moment to pause and catch my breath amidst multiple shows...
And seeing as there was no way I could return for the rescheduled date a month later, I happily opted for a refund to help offset other costs of that whirlwind summer of traveling and seeing the Stones in 2003. Memories. smiling smiley

Every country here has different rules about covid.
In The Netherlands it is five days right now.

How long is the quarantine period in Europe? 10 days, 14 days?
I think it's different from country to country. Some information given by the government of the Netherlands.

strange bubble Mick has been in.
His instagram/twitter tweets show him wandering around the streets of the cities, having beers, tourist sites etc...
Covid was bound to happen.
Maybe he should have kept in his indoor bubble more.

Protocol allows him to be outside as much as he wants if he can keep distance. He's only forbidden to go to indoor saloons and bars. That's what he said in an interview last year.

Who knows how he got it, it's all speculating

I also thinking that playing in front of a stadium crowd, even if it's open air, isn't probably zero risk. Maybe a higher risk than walking through the town alone with only Matt and the bodyguard.

Yes, strange bubble...

And the bubble was burst....

Eh? When Matt does his miMicking photo's he doesn't go out with Jagger to do them.

I've seen various posts by BV about COVID and how he doesn't want it talked about. I don't know about what post BV said recently, haven't read.

Yet here it is: Mick has COVID.

If Keith and Ronnie and everyone else gets it this tour, ok, saying "it will eventually get everyone" or whatever has more truth to it.

Is it inevitable that everyone gets it? It's not. So there it is.

So many people have washed their hands of COVID. Yet it's still around.

I believe StonedRambler is referring to Mick's good buddy Matt Clifford - I recall reading that he's the one who shoots the Instagram/Twitter videos of Mick visiting various locations.

Every specialist will tell you that outdoors the risk of getting infected is almost zero. The dangerous environment is indoors. Therefore the best Mick could do was going out into the open air.

July 7th would be great, less than a month away! And after that Brussels, makes sense logistic-wise.

Members of the tour band obviously don't take it too seriously and take selfies with fans - without masks

Same. We should wait for the official announcement by the band itself.

Hi Folks!

Like many people, I traveled from far away to see this show. It was SO sad. People who traveled more than 10.000 km, people with really lucky dips, such a sad afternoon. Well, you can't always get what you want! Ha.

My main concern is Mick's health, for there to be more shows there must be more Jagger. So, from here sending strength for his recovery!

Apart from this, I am starting to calculate dates and costs to make up this date. I read the rumor that 7/7 is a potential date, but it's Thursday and I won't be able to make it. I think I will miss it anyway, I can't travel in work days sad smiley

MOJO communicated that the 13th tickets will be valid for the new show, but nothing about refunds. Usually in these cases you can get a refund? What do you think?

Thanks for your help. Hugs

Deja - Vu all over again , just like in October 2006 when we drove all the way to Atlantic City and check into the hotel on the Boardwalk and some folks in the lift tell us the show is postponed . Major bummer . Mick was sick .

Thanks, guys. Will be hard for they to find a date, because the Eredivisie starts on early august. So wouldn't be possible to use the Ajax Stadium.

For sure the show will be in July, and the only week with more than 4 days of gap between shows is the first week of july. Between London and Brussels. Otherwise, they must change the venue and do it in August.

For the fans the best would be a Saturday, because the travelers already got holidays for that Monday. But they don't have more days between tour dates.

Well, nothing to do. Just to wait and keep positive!

After non-show was a big craic in the Hansel & Gretel, a small relief for such a sad afternoon.

Not true. Remember 2017. They can do both.

Sorry for "double posting". I just saw the "sticky".

I automatically do not look at or read "stickies", and that is why I double posted.

If there is a STICKY thread it means it is VERY IMPORTANT and you should read that one BERFORE you post.

Well, in fact it is true. And also could get a weekend when Ajax play in another city. According to Google, Ajax will play the 6th August against Fortuna Sittard in Sittard. So the Johan Cruyff Arena will be available that Saturday.

Preparty on Friday night, show on Saturday and Sunday everyone happy.

Haha just kidding, patience and optimism.

Heading to Florence Sat for the Metallica gig w Jerry Cantrell on Sun, then off to Milano on Monday… safe travels for all and a speedy recovery to Mick!!!
