I thought Keith had given up smoking - I clearly saw him having a crafty fag behind the drums during Miss You in Liverpool. Is he officially a part time smoker now?

I’m sure there are thousands, but I’ve yet to meet a ‘weed-smoker’ who doesn’t also smoke cigarettes. He’s on record stating he’s ‘quit’, so perhaps he’s one of them. I switched from cigarettes to vaping in December 2014. I’m still hopelessly hooked, though.

Definitely wasn't a vape...unless it had a glow in the dark end!

In Nashville it was openly beside the drums rather than behind them. He spoke with Steve, and waved his smoke away from his face.

It was their 4th (full) show without Charlie, right after Keith sang a heartfelt Slipping Away, at that same point: at the end of his backstage Miss You break.

We had the debate then what it was. Many say weed. I still go with a cigarette.

I saw pictures from balcony in amsterdam hotel. 100% smoking.

He smokes weed only now. It has already been said here.

That wasn't a cigarette, hence he was less mobile in Liverpool, few mistakes, same old pattern.

Yes, there are many, I’m sure. I’m probably not one to discuss weed, truthfully. I loath the drug. I’d take a sunny day in a pub garden, armed with a cold pint of Heineken and a cigarette over cannabis any day; and I don’t even smoke cigarettes. That combination is still heaven in my head, though!

Keith openly acknowledges he still smokes weed, that is true. Where has he said he still is smoking only weed and that he isn't back lighting up the occasional cigarette, too? I don't believe you'll find him claiming that in the past year... which has been a very hard one for the band. Backsliding to sometimes indulging in cigarettes is an extremely common thing among ex-smokers under stress. It's just something they're not likely to bring up in conversation.

Whatever it is he is lighting up, he is a smoker, effectively.

Nicotine doesn’t get you stoned, and kill you.

Alcohol gets you stoned drunk, and kills you.

Cannabis gets you stoned and doesn’t kill you.

Seems pretty cut and dry.

What a shame he doesn't share.

Whatever it is, it's good for his voice.

Now he´s up to 40 joints a day. But he has quit smoking. Must be a relief.

Miss you has been Keith's joint break for decades.

You sound like me, what i hate about weed is it slows down alcohol consumption and kills the buzz, gimme drink any day over weed.

Although i will say weed opens doors in my mind, but if i'm out for the night i'm not looking to open up my consciousness to find Nirvana, just want to chat, dance and have some fun not sit there like a vegetable talking stuff you can't remember a minute later, or is that just me

It's not nicotine which kills you. It's the other chemicals.
