I am surprised the Stones didn’t organize something like this for Charlie!
A really missed opportunity and Charlie deserved something like this

You really have no idea what Charlie was like do you?

Woah! That's some show, seemingly!
Does anyone know the duration? Must've been several hours at least!
All very appropriate and fitting for the late, Taylor Hawkins!

They started at 4:30 PM UK and ended just before 10:30 PM (curfew). Almost 6 hours.

I was there, this is correct. Great evening!
It was special to see Brian May and Geddy Lee pay tribute to Taylor Hawkins while also paying tribute to there own bandmate.
To me it felt like the importance of family was a theme to the gig. Violet and Dave Grohl performing together, Josh Homme's son running on for a hug, Rufus and Roger Taylor performing together, Wolfgang Van Halen playing Van Halen songs for the first time since Eddie passed and Shane Hawkins sitting in for his father.

Great tribute to Taylor. Josh Homme had some allegations of child abuse from his ex Brody Dalle. His son hugging him was interesting, considering. Love Kyuss, QOTSA and Them Crooked Vultures. Hoping the allegations aren't true, obviously.
I wonder what Dave will do next. Have a feeling this kickstarted his desire to be in a band again.

I am going ticketless. Was planning on Crowded House all along but it got postponed and seen the Roger Waters tour enough times.

Based on the Wembley Stadium show, I think Dave Grohl used the Tribute gig to trial several possible short-list drummers, to continue the Foo Fighters with.
Cheers,

Possibly, but what makes you say this? Obviously they needed to have drummers perform for the tribute...

Will it be streamed as in London? I can't find any link so far.
