Under The Radar

This track is awesome. I mean- I'm usually not into judging songs so quickly because you may just like them BECAUSE they're new Stones songs. But this one is great. Now I come sneeeeeeeaaaaaaaaking Under The Raaaaadaaaar!
Ofcourse, it bears remarkable resemblance to Child Of The Moon. It's almost funny. Starting off with the typical Keith 5 string add9 riffing, followed by Mick's "the wiiiiind blows". Maybe the Stones are doing it subconsiously?
Anyway, great song. Wouldn't you agree?

I have listened to this thing at least 50 times now and I'm not tired of it at all. Can't say that about the rest of the ABB songs

Same here.
Me & Lorenz discussed that COTM-thing.
I took a good comparison... Really,
they are similar. But this one is faster.

or maybe they're doing it consciously. can't think why they wouldn't be conscious of it, actually! it's pretty hard to miss.

Listen to Twice As Hard by the Black Crowes. (IMO) UTR sounds more similar to this song than COTM.

Musically similar cord patterns, tempo is close too. Same bluesy shuffle but Mick lyrics are sung at half the speed of Chris Robinson's. Coruses are different of course.

Any thoughts?

Under the Radar is one of the best Stones songs of all time.

I agree that it is one of the best I have heard in a LOOOOONG tyime. But again I say this ;if you have the Joh Phillips album, listen to "Zulu Warrior"; remarkable similarity.

It's a good song, not too unlike Child Of The Moon, actually. The other song is not so good.

Yep pretty much! It doesn't bother me if the songs reminds to former titles. Its so wonderful to hear them in a new "coat".

Anyone else hear stuff on UTR (especially toward the end) reminiscient of It Must Be Hell?
