When I read the thread title I thought Keith had become a kidnapper.

I thought it was missing a comma or 2.

I think Keith Richards should give up les Paul junior. Specially Sympathy and Satisfaction. I think he should consider to play tele in these 2 songs. And I feel the 2 songs will sound great.

Remember Keith is a rocker not a shell eye rolling smiley

Maybe he could trade it for a toboggan junior.

He should drink lots of water, stay off the smokes, rest

So, frequent bathroom breaks, withdrawal, and an ambien are your considered recommendations for the next tour?

Les Paul Jr’s have a chunky neck, I thought about buying one for half a second last year and went with and Epiphone Casino instead. Compared with the neck on the Les Paul’s I own the Jrs neck felt horrible. But they do have a sound of their own.

It goes back to the recordings. For example on Sympathy he used a Les Paul Custom so Keith choses a lighter Les Paul now. I can't recall many songs Keith solos on using a Tele.no matter the tuning although there's plenty of "weaving". At this stage of the game the guy needs to be on autopilot, no disrespect but his job isn't easy for a man like him or any man his age. The results you hear aren't going to change much no matter the guitar.

In the 80s and 90s pretty much most of them. You were there with them for some DW-remixes in the 80s, weren't you? Winning Ugly is a good example, for instance.

For the 81/82-tours I can't recall him using any other guitar for solos. On the B2B tours (97/98) he was still pretty much using the Tele for solos (Flip The Switch, Satisfaction etc.).
