Or train and bus tickets for short distances are just far too extensive. I'm taking the car only for small distances because a few stations on the bus already cost like 4€. Now if the 9€ ticket/month comes in Germany I will only take the bus and train. For long disctances the train is mostly cheaper nowadays than the cars, so I always take the train for these.

I visited Nashville in Feb. I will pay $3 more for gas to live here. It was fun for a long weekend but since I own a home here no need to move to save money for a house.

About 2 Euro per liter here in Sweden . They have actually reduced taxes on petrol here, due to the inflated prices.
Before that the political agenda was to replace petrol with electricity by heavy taxation on fuel and subsidies on electric vehicles.

Gas is about $4.00/gallon here in New Mexico for the lowest grade.

Roughly $4.49/gallon in my part of Connecticut.

Heard on the news on Monday that it's expected to hit $6-$7 by summer round here. Can only imagine what that means for the West Coast folks.

Glad you liked it. My house went up 60% in value in the last 18 months thanks to the west coasters moving here. House prices near Nashville have skyrocketed.

Nashville is such a great city, with lots of building going on. I do prefer Memphis, though I haven't been in many a year, so don't know how it looks these days. I know the crime is a bit high.

That's what my friend said too. Mine here in California is up 30% as well. The shortage of housing is also contributing to inflation.

I belong to the Sinclair Gas mobile app, and so the price yday was $4.29. I get $0.15/gallon, so it only cost me $4.14/gallon to fill up. Felt like I was getting a bargain! ...............Til it totaled $74!!!

Memphis too is growing, new apartments downtown, new hotels downtown, other projects as well.

I'm with you on Memphis over Nashville, a little smaller, cheaper, better BBQ and more rock/blues vs country. And a good NBA team!

Been to Nashville maybe a half dozen times...I go to Memphis once or twice a year, sometimes more.

I paid just over $85 for 20 gallons a couple days ago.

I just don't see it as a big deal because I was paying over $100 after Hurricane Katrina. And it's always the same ol whine about whatever in life and the cost of gas being sticky tape for any conversation that has no meaning whatsoever.

Prices are rising again in Seattle. It had fallen slightly a few weeks ago but this week they started creeping back up again.

Local Chevron station has it for $6.89/gallon. Always most expensive spot in my area and people always filling up there. I have no clue why.

Yup and there is a lower pollution (more expensive) blend used in the summer months to reduce smog.

An eye-watering C$2.37/litre this morning in Vancouver or US $6.92/Gallon.

€2.18 per litre in Holland today. The highest price in the world. They're pushing us towards hybrids and full electric cars by making the gas unaffordable. Leftwing parties here in Holland propose to levy taxes on meat and airline tickets too. They're fully into megalomaniac billion dollar climate plans of the European Union and we, the people, are going to bleed for that.
