With the 1st show less than a month away I was curious when the band usually gets together to reherase... would it be in Spain? Also a new stage is in the mix this tour

Looking at the tour schedule I guess they pick one place where they stay during the tour and from where they fly to the shows. Best guess is London – two shows and international airports

Not sure they ever done that. Pretty sure they will just stay a few days at every city.

I agree with PaintMonkeyManBlack. They have never used a "hub" for an entire leg/tour. However they have used one city as a hub to do 2-3 shows out of. I think on Voodoo Lounge, for example, they stayed in Stockholm(or was it Oslo?) and just flew from there to each of their shows in the Nordic Countries, including Helsinki. That would have been logistically more feasible back in the day when the gaps between shows were shorter.

These days, the gaps allow them more time to travel.

Hopefully not "Paris". The place they went to in 2012 and 2014 was as safe as a countryside dog kennel.
The bunkerized London compound they rented in 20?? is a far better choice.

It was basically a (large) private home converted into a high-end studio. The outside walls were about 1,8 meters high and the area was "watched" over by an aging Shepherd's dog. Yeah it was that funky.
It was located in an industrial area that went dead after business hours so any black circulating there was the band's. There was no way to go unnoticed.

London is a much better choice indeed.

why did they use it several times to rehearse with such glaring issues?

I think with the Stones' security staff and their bodyguards security isn't necessarily an issue. Of course it's better and more relaxed for them if people do not find their rehearsal space but I would worry about their security really.

I'd say there's a middle ground for them. Obviously you wouldn't want a siege type situation at the doors but you do like to feel like you're happening by way of having a few hardcore types hanging around

The Madrid show is only four weeks away today and given the timelines on their latest tours they tend to start rehearsals about three weeks before opening night.

So "something" might happen "somewhere" as early as next week. Maybe the hardcores are gearing up already!

Considering there'll be a new stage, wherever the rehearsals could be, they will do some kind of dress rehearsal in Madrid on may 30 or 31 don't you think?

Yes, usually there's a dress rehearsal for the production before opening night.

a short dress rehearsal makes sense (as they also did in Dublin in 2018)

In Dublin they rehearsed at Croke Park on two consecutive days, even. [iorr.org]
