but stamped on the back it says "property of the white pass jr/sr high school"

Yes! I bought the One Hit maxi about 25 years ago in a second hand record store. Many of the remixes are useless but Miss You, which is less mixed and overdubbed than the album version,
One Hit and Harlem Shuffle are great.
It adds about 3 minutes actually.
Don´t forget WINNING UGLY. The remix changes the rather bad track into a real great groovy tune. Absolutely great acoustic guitar work on that

OK, I was just listening to the glorified four on the floor DISCO REMIX of Miss You...over 8 minutes of hip-shaking, satin shirt (and pants) wearing boogie wonderland.
It struck me. It's better than any other version of the song, the album, the single edit...in this case more is much better!
It then further struck me...this is quite probably the best extended mix of any song ever. Here it is:

There's an itch deep in my brain that I have to scratch.... It's telling me that the long version is a totally different take to the 7" singe version, and NOT a remix.
Does my itch have a point? Anyone?
Perhaps the 7" is a redux of the 12" (painted black?).

This is quite good, but there is no sax solo. The sax solo is what really makes the song. With that, I defer to the album version.

What is a remix? Is a remix taking a track and mixing it differently? If so, then the long versions of "Miss You" (Rarities, Don't Stop single, 8-Track and DSKO mix) are simply not remixes, even though they have different mixes.
