Be here now over DM & MG?

Yeah Paddy as I think The Girl In The Dirty Shirt is superior to She's Electric and Married With Children, that Wurlitzer is rather tasty...

Though I'm not a huges fan, I'd say Boston's debut album. I think every song has had extensive radio play.

For me personally...though this wouldn't make my top 5 albums...just albums where it feels like every song is a hit or at least very well known...

Prince - Purple Rain
Bruce Springsteen - Born in the USA
Fleetwood Mac - Rumours
Led Zeppelin - Untitled/IV
Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon

The Beatles A Hard Day's Night and The Rolling Stones NOW. I think each is the best of the bands' early albums.

Bryan Adams - Reckless. 6-7 singles? The material was so strong that the title track didn´t make it - until the de luxe release with lots of extra songs.

The Verve - Urban Hymns
Radiohead - OK Computer

Two albums released in 1997 that gave a double blow on Be Here Now, bringing the then ongoing reign by Oasis — and the Britpop era — to the end.

OKC is a good pick. Electioneering is a stretch as a hit, Fitter Happier, too, but it's the #1 album of all time on [www.besteveralbums.com]

Rod Stewart - Every Picture Tells A Story

Almost every song here is an ear worm.

Roxy Music - Avalon

Atypical RM album for non-fans in a good way.

Yeah, RM for people who don`t like RM. If you want more of the same, where to go? I would suggest soft soul music of a certain complexity, produced by Jerry Wexler, Tom Dowd and Arif Mardin at Muscle Shoals Sound Studios, Alabama.

The Pretenders debut album?

I still think Who Made Who has to take first place it practically is a GH without being one.

Well except more than half the songs were previously released. It's like the Sucking In The Seventies of AC/DC.

Spot on for Pretenders.

+1 on The Pretenders debut album.

Diesel Park West - Shakespeare Alabama (1989)

Produced by Chris Kimsey. An estranged half-brother of Steel Wheels, so to speak. Trust me, it’s packed with potential chart toppers that didn’t make it.

Funny for a lot of bands their debut album is amazing. It's like they spend their entire band life writing and perfecting that first group of songs.
