Roskilde 2014 not because I was there but because it verifiably cooked

OK.

Provide your verifiable evidence!

Who am I, the link man? Here's a link [www.youtube.com]

yes that was very good rough but great and just the right pace

if they just have to drop 19th nervous breakdown from the setlist this summer i'd be happy if this took its place

I think the Salt Lake 2005/Glasgow 2006 combo might be the best ones

The studio version can't be touched. On the more recent versions of it though, they've gotten closer to it. One of the few things in the "modern" era that sound better than how they used to play it, IMO.

What are you, German? When you say verifiable evidence, it's always helpful to provide the actual evidence!

THAT SAID,

OK, that is a pretty good version and as far as the theme of the thread is concerned, perhaps "Best Live" contender. Has the groove from the original.

THAT SAID, doesn't even come close to the original IMHO, which like a few other songs from their canon, they just don't seem to do justice live.

THAT SAID, I don't mind this version at all...it swings a bit.

Thank you for providing your evidence Nikkei.

I can't say I've enjoyed any modern day performance. Austin 2006 is a hurried mess (all the songs were rushed on that tour) and can't recall anything recently that made me change my opinion. I suppose '81 was when they got it right on stage. But nothing beats that studio cut. Production and arrangement top notch.

The version from Largo is one of the better versions of this song.

The version on the Let's Spend The Night Together movie is outstanding. I really like the KBFH version from Largo too.
