So once it's understood their drummer sat out their Vegas residency because his wife passed away four months ago, our response is to say Aerosmith died years ago. I'm not sure what appalls me more, the ignorance or callousness that is becoming increasingly common on this board.

Thanks for that. Some of the comments border on being nauseating.

Good show, a tad shorter than Bangor, and probably Fenway.

Loved the backdrop during Hangman / Seasons

Aerosmith has cancelled a few shows recently and have announced that the remaining shows have also been cancelled.

Somehow not surprised. He's had so many damn health problems over the past recent years. Glad I got to see them a couple of times when I did. I rarely listen to them anymore.

Yeah I rolled up to the Park MGM December 2 and saw the sign. People were standing around with puffy eyes. Having just seen them 4 times in a row, I just shrugged and went to the George Strait concert the next block.

Was looking into going back for the final show but guess that ain't gonna happen. It was a blast but the first leg was a bit better with Sep 17 being one of the best shows I had seen by them.

Damn....These guys need to do a world tour with Ozzie Osbourne. No insurance company would touch it though.

I had tickets to see them in Vegas pre-pandemic and it was cancelled due to Steven's voice.

It's unfortunate they're having such problems. And now it's just too risky to travel to see them, in case this would happen again.

I hope they can pull it together next year, I'd love to see them one more time.

Sad for Tyler. I'd feel worse for the band but I've seen them several times and as much as I love Joe, Brad, Tom and Joey (when he's there), the whole show hinges on Steven. When he's on (and they usually don't tour unless he is), he lights up any arena they're in and you can't really do it without him.

Way too off topic for the Buy/Sell/Trade board but if anybody is interested you can download the first 3, and probably eventually most of the rest at

I’ll believe it when I see it (shows) happening. Perhaps we can start wagering on who will tour first - our boys or Aerosmith.

Isn't it a double bill with Ozzie?

Slightly OT, Wife and I saw The Joe Perry Project last night at the Foxwoods Casino in CT with Gary Cherone (Exteme, VH) on vocals.

Great concert, they played 2hrs,a mix of old Aerosmith, old Joe Perry Project songs and covers,

Cherone is a great front man and did a nice job singing the old Aerosmith songs

Joe can still pick it at the tender age of 72.

Highly recommended if they come near you for the fraction of the ticket prices for an Aerosmith concert.

oldschool - do you live in CT? If so whereabouts? I'm currently in Ellington, but moving back to NY state in about a month.

Such a shame with Steve Tyler, reading between the lines it looks like he struggles to stay clean from drink/drugs, and at such a late time in his life, old habits die hard.

I saw Joe Perry in St. Charles, Illinois tonight. Great show. He was really funny too. Nice tribute to Jeff Beck. I will load more videos tomorrow.

Apparently they're set to announce a 40 city U.S. fall tour in the coming weeks.
Excited they'll be back, but unfortunately seems like Joey Kramer won't be there.

It’s a bit unsettling to see Joe playing just OK.
The unspoken truth of the last 25 or 30 years of rock and roll is the disciples have been surpassing the masters for a long, long time.
To think Joe Perry was not a better guitar player than Jimmy Page or Eric Clapton since at least the mid-80s is almost comical.

To think those sorry self parody Keith Richards solo albums were anything close to what Izzy Stradlin was doing is a joke.you’d have to be in some sort of hero worshiping denial to think otherwise.

To see the best pure rock and roll guitar player of the last three decades playing average doesn’t bode well for the future.

PS-Jeff Beck was purposely left out of this post. You don’t FCK with Jeff Beck.or his legacy.

Aerosmith died years ago anyhoo.

Agree, they fell victim of the money making power ballad. And they were so good!

They played that early on the Permanent Vacation tour, great song, also thought it was an odd choice since neither of the guitar players were on the original recording, but great song anyhow! Really one of my favorites!

I’m not much of an Aerosmith fan, admittedly. I know -,and enjoy,I might add - their hits, but much else is lost on me. From this clip - and those I’ve seen - Joe Perry is still performing to a high standard.

Huge fan of the latter 2 albums with the first being decent enough to warrant a pass as well.
