I wouldn't mind if they did away with opening acts. Maybe 2 sets with an intermission. In total, more time with the Stones!

In 2007 they anounced 3 days before the first show

Sounds great! I wonder if they take an intermission, if it’s harder for them to get started back up. Not being a musician, I have no idea. That said, I did like it when Roger Waters had a 20 minute intermission a few years back.

It was an unforgettable experience for me. The vision and execution of that show were genius. And, Roger and his band sounded heavenly. His Wall tour was spectacular, too.

After the Stones tour Roger will be my next big shows. If the Stones took a break and did 2 one hour sets it would be great but I can't see them changing now.

Would be great, but no, they are not making any major changes at this point. These fantasies are fun though.

If you make it to Roger's Nashville show, I'd like to say hi.

I saw Courtney Barnett open for Blur at the Hollywood Bowl back in 2015, and she was really good back then.
The War on Drugs not so sure about...are a bit bland imo...

As bad as Prague the last time in Europe. Al least London has a good opening lineup.

For those less familiar with the excellent Sam fender this song won the Ivor Novello last week for song writing and musical arrangement - referred to in sone quarters as ‘the Geordie Bruce Springsteen’ I saw him a few weeks ago in Berlin - excellent addition to HP2 and fills arenas in the uk as a headliner (Berlin gig was about 8000 I think, upcoming us tour sold out)

Thanks. I get the comparison of Sam Fender to Bruce. Not really my cup of tea. I checked out The War On Drugs too as I’d never heard of them either. They’re ok. I’d prefer them to Fender but neither is really great imo

I saw 26 Stones shows since 82 and only the J Geils Band was real fun as support act.
