So there is also a vip packages with entry early in the diamond pit

Yeah that really takes the cake...it's not a first though, they already had that for the "Stade de France" in 2014. Not in 2018 though since it was possible to get to the second row.

At the end of the day there is no "bad seat" in the pit anyway. For what was my "last" show in 2018 I'd chosen to be as close as possible in Keith's angle and ended up second row which was great but the overall view wasn't as good as from the middle of the pit.

Topi wrote in the Stockholm thread: "Got info that the Stockholm price range is 695-2695 SEK". That means about 260 Euro for pit. But I cannot find any link with the prices at Live Nation or Friends Arena.

Looking also for the link

So… ronnie of keith side?

Let's see... Bjornulf always goes for Ronnie's side. That should tell you something. Other factors: Singers on Ronnie's side, horns on Keith's. Chuck on Ronnie's side, Darryl on Keith's. Big camera boom on Ronnie's side, none on Keith's.

To me, the bigger factor is where in the pit. Right on the catwalk? Unless you're 7 feet tall, it's hard to see the other side of the stage. Right on the rail?. You can get squished and If the stage is usual height, the sight lines aren't as good as they are a few feet back. (But you don't have to worry about that huge guy who always seems to end up right in front of you if you're back a bit.) My favorite spot: About half way back in the pit a bit back from the side rail at the catwalk.

Pro tip: If they use the same railing as in the U.S., there are nice little seats built into the back rail of the pit. A great place to hang out until the lights go out and you hear the magic words... "Ladies and Gentlemen..."

Considering that last time PIT tickets in Germany cost 800€ and my friend and I thought it would be like this or even more expensive now for every show, I am really quite happy with the price for the PIT tickets we got for Vienna...and it's on Ronnie's side, exactly like we wanted, couldn't be any more excited and thrilled about this smiling bouncing smiley smiling bouncing smiley

The PIT tickets in Germany are about 25% cheaper than 2018. That is a good thing, but a bit macabre considering.

But there're now the new TopSeats which are dynamically priced and starting from € 776 for the A-Blocks - [iorr.org] , [iorr.org] .

it's a bad thing – at least for lucky dippers

Tickets for the pit are sold out in most places. Unless you buy a package with a free poster and a free beer. Keep skimming the cream of the top!

Well "Lucky Dippers" will get a good deal in any case so I wouldn't call this a "bad thing". Getting a pit used to be excessively rare, as it should, but on latter tours it happened more often and this raised expectations I suppose.

Liverpool 357 203 119
Amsterdam 347 297 151

See you there

Top seats are a total scam...I kid you not, those seats we bought for Gelsenkirchen on Wednesday in the fan club presale cost 240€ and when I looked at the prices again on Thursday after the regular Eventim presale had started, some of those seats that had been in the 240€ category a day before, suddenly were called "top seats" and cost 490€...it's insane

Re: PIT tickets 2022

It is possible with pit tickets to walk around GA or GC? I know in Edinburgh 17 it was possible because you enter the pit from the GC. Depends on venue many ?

Re: PIT tickets 2022

Yes, it should be possible at most venues. The first wristband they give you is a "floor" wristband usually. You work your way up into the pit from there.

"... as it should"

Why?
As a grateful recipient of many lucky dip pit tix, agree to disagree winking smiley

The dips when they started were much more designed to fill the gaps in the nosebleeds and other areas that needed it, while giving fans an opportunity to see them at a very reasonable price.

In the last few tours, perhaps because stadiums were filling up regardless, they shifted to providing mainly lower bowl and pit tickets. As much grief as the band gets about pricing (and everything else).. this has been a great thing for fans (mainly all hardcores) and I for one say.. thanks!! A lot of complaints about the band not catering to the hardcore base, these do just that.
Even long time fans are still unaware of these, much less casual fans.

Ran into this resentment a bit last tour.. fans that paid full price being resentful of fans getting into the pit for a fraction with LDs.
Everyone has the same choice.. and for a variety of reasons- wanting to be in the pit for certain, not wanting to risk nosebleeds etc, for some it's worth paying full price. I'm sure the VIP pit buyers don't resent reg pit buyers.. because they also had that choice. Same with LDs. I could care less what someone else standing next to me paid, similar to the person seated next to me on a flight.

I'm thrilled for the fans that score a pit from a LD.. and good on the band for doing it! smileys with beer

No resentment here, everyone makes their choices, I was simply pointing out in reaction to the "bad thing" comment that LDs are guaranteed a good deal since you're paying 60€ or a 100€+ ticket, so it's never going to be a "bad thing" even if you don't get a pit ticket.

Fair..
"Getting a pit used to be excessively rare, as it should," seemed to imply differently.
Apologies if I mistook that, but stand by my argument for those that do resent them smileys with beer

Theoretically, anyone in the whole stadium - even those in last row seats - could resent Lucky Dippers, considering these tickets cost less than the cheapest regular tickets.

I don't believe a lot of people worry about how much the person next to him/her paid for a ticket anyway, and those who can afford a 500-euro pit ticket (and this is an assumption on my part) probably have enough money not to think about this kind of issue.

Re: PIT tickets 2022

Exactly, you can only be happy for a dedicated fan (who else knows about LDs anyway) to get an upgrade to the pit, especially since they're going to be in the best of spirits, I just wouldn't go for LDs expecting to get a pit and say it's a "bad thing" if I don't.

If I want one (and I do since I'm only going to be catching one or two concerts) I'll get a pit and we're in luck this year, they've been "available", as opposed to say Paris 2017 when there was NOTHING outside of the packages (and a temporary bug) and when the unsold packages were released the week of the show.

maybe that's why there's no price printed on the tickets you get thru LD (at least not after 2014)

What does the text on the ticket say, or maybe I should ask - what do the LD tickets look like (regardless of the sector you get) ?
