Not really true, Solna is not bad at all you have a lot of Pubs along "Råsundavägen" and also "Haga Parken", which is a beautiful park where the princess has her palace.

(sorry they are called Lodges at Friends ) are available for the show or they were 2 weeks ago with VIP tickets for 10-12-16

My recommendation for anybody traveling to Stockholm/Friends arena is to stay in the city. Stockholm is a very beautiful city in the summer. You will have a great time there. Friends is only 2 stops from Stockholm city on the commuter train, around 12 minutes, and the stop is right outside the arena. Subway/metro is also available but maybe a 10 minute walk from the arena.
The area around the arena is nothing to see (there is a shopping mall and nothing else).

Yeah we should've had The Hellacopters back. Thåström is from the south of Stockholm and his songs and lyrics are million miles away from where my head's usually at.
ABBA's "Abbatars" would've been great! Plus they don't require a rider...
As axl79 points out there are loads of great pubs in the nearby. One of the best ones are "Eken Krog", next to Solna fire station, which serves Stockholm's best pint of Stella. Their pasta dishes are also exceptional as well as their pizzas.
The Offside bar in Solna Centrum, on the other hand, serves one of Stockholm's best pints of Guinness and they also got decent hamburgers
