Looking at the map, most of the nearest restaurants/bars would seem to be on the other side of the river, in Suresnes.

What side will the stage be? Entrance 1 or 2 (you can see on the ticket the map)

And any advice on travel. Read somewhere there would be busses?

I live in Paris and don't know of anything nearby. Like many stadiums, the immediate surroundings are likely boring!

Soo is it possible to go there and back into Paris city by trains or busses? Google shows something but I don't know how representative that is of the situation.

You could also use the RER-trains instead of the Metro. Or trains of the C & L-line.

Does anyone have an idea of what the camera policy will be at this Paris show and/or what it's been at previous shows on the tour?
I emailed the Hippodrome and haven't heard back.
I'm a photographer and I was going to bring a point-and-shoot 35mm camera with a non-detachable lens for crowd pics, etc., but I'm a bit worried about having nowhere to stash the camera if I'm turned away. Dustin

Officially any kind of camera is forbidden, just look at the official rules in the Lyon thread. So if you're bringing one you're taking chances...

People on Twitter were complaining about the shuttle service for Lollapalooza, so beware. Walking from the Boulogne Jean Jaurès station is probably the most convenient access from Paris. (you also have the T2 tramway from Suresnes across the river.)

In Paris, it's free starting 9pm Saturday until early Monday morning (7am I think).

Park your car in SURESNES (before the bridge Seine) or BOULOGNE next to Anatole France street

for people coming with public transportation there are buses at the end of the show like for Lolapalooza last week

Shortest is to come by BOULOGNE SUBWAY line 9, 10

Yeah I'm thinking of walking back to the metro station too, need to look at the distance to the entrance (is there really only one entrance, the "balloons"?) as the shuttles are sure to be a hassle. Won't be as nice as last night where I had a 10' bike ride to get there!

Edit : ok so it seems it's around 18 km so 20 minutes, sounds good.

In Google Maps it's easy to measure the distances via right-click. 1 km walking should take 10-15 mins.

I got my camera into Lyon last night absolutely no problem.

Pit is available again if anyone is interested.

Me too. One big with two lenses and one small camera.

In Lyon a small camera was no problem - they were interested only in the water bottles at the first chechpoint. After that we could pass the security check without any check.
