hi folks,
About the lucky dips. How long before do I have to go to the venue to pick up the tickets? What do you suggest?
Thank you in advance!

Usually there's not a long queue at the Lucky Dip Counter especially if you come after it has opened. So it is really up to your taste...the counter usually opens at the same time the doors of the venue open.

It depends, some shows the lucky dips opened in the morning!

At least the Shidoobees are going to have one. I saw a Facebook event for that.

It varies by venue. But usually the Lucky Dip counter opens sometime in the afternoon - before the doors open. They will email the opening times and the procedure a few days before the show.
Most of the time you are free to roam after you have picked up your tickets. I believe that the last time they played Europe, it was only in Berlin that they escorted the Lucky Dip holders right in.

anyone able to illuminate what the general situation is for getting back into town after shows at longchamps?
this was touched on earlier in the thread, but never definitively answered, i don't think
i thought i was being all clever, booking a place to stay in suresnes
on the west of longchamps, just across the seine
30 mins walk - perfect
but a more sensible look at google maps with the satellite image shows me that we'd still end up walking a fair distance through the bois de boulogne - not a good idea that time of night, i presume
so - what's the usual protocol for dealing with tens of thousands of punters at 11pm?
do they lay on shuttles or anything like that?
or do we all have to get on the local bus?!
or am i actually being over cautious and that walk would be fine?
anyone with any insight, i'd be most grateful

I just noticed that the tour de France will end on July 24th (the day after the Stones show)… Paris will be even more overcrowded than usual…

The last stage of the Tour de France usually takes place in the late afternoon, finishing towards the evening. This year, there's a Women's Tour de France starting at 1 PM on the same day.
