GA single lucky dip for me too, I heard the very good concert, but haven t seen anything. And about the organization how to say… worst one I have ever seen, only one entrance in the middle of the two announced… I could have sold easily my tix between the desk 1 to get my real ticket and the real entrance one hour queeing (again) after… This ruined my experience. Disappointed.

They needed to deal with so many people, so yes, security was a joke really.

At how many concerts have you been escorted into the arena? Does it occur at all?

It was airline security at Hyde Park with a similar sized crowd. But the difference was that Hyde Park opened at noon with people arriving steadily. Yesterday it opened at 5 with a huge number of people waiting to get in all at once.

Exactly, too little time to be thorough. Getting in small amounts of food and spare caps for the water bottle was no problem

My feeling was both Brussels and Paris the had 20% Pit tickets. There have been many in Brussels as well. In Milan they gave out way more pits, at least in the First 20 minutes where it was over 50%

Does it matter what time you pick up your LD seats considering what seats you get (faster the pick, better the seat) or are the seats decided beforehand?

You should ask Topi or Slewan the most experienced ones on IORR on Lucky Dip
Yep, that was said back then by people (don't know if it was true). That was also the reason why in Stuttgart (the next German show of the tour) people almost mudered each other at the Lucky Dip counter since everyone was trying to get to the front when the counter opened. Then a few of the first ones really got pit which made the situation even worse. Just when some people got GA or GC and it seemed more random, people were relaxing more.Quote

I don't think it really matters what time you pick up the LDs.
I've had pits out of LDs both when I picked them up early and when I picked them up at 9 PM!
There have been exceptions, though, I think in Berlin 2018 they gave out pretty much only pits early on, if I remember correctly. I didn't go, but I remember reading this.

strange things happened at the LD counter. First, the opened it out of the blue around 2:20 p.m. (official opening time was 5 p.m.)
Second: At the beginning nearly everybody got block 41
Third: At some point in the afternoon new envelopes were added – and suddenly people got better tickets (pits, golden circle) (later I found out that some tickets were printed in the morning, others (the new ones) after 4 p.m.)
Fourth: some people mangaged to give their tickets back and were allowed to try again
That's how the world works unfortunately. As a rather introverted person that's a fight everyday.Quote

Why do annoying people, get better tickets than the ones who just accept what they got?
