Just answering my own question ... I guess this is due to HP being the BST Festival? So technically the Stones are the headliners for the day

BST is an established festival so I can't see there being any Lucky Dips. Good thing is, a festival will mean more bands on the lineup before the Stones than say a standalone show (of course, many only want the Stones, but I love to make a good day of it!).

BST is an established festival (i use festival in the loosest term as it's basically all about the Stones on that Day) so I can't see there being any Lucky Dips. LUCKY DIP: A limited number of tickets will be sold at a special price plus service charges for some of the dates. Lucky Dip ticket locations will be throughout the venue, including “Limited View Upper Level”, and “PIT”. Strict anti-scalper measures will ensure that the tickets go to Stones fans and not the resale market. Lucky Dip tickets are sold only in pairs, 2 ticket limit per person, with seat location revealed night-of-show. Pick-up tickets night of show only, in person, with picture ID, confirmation number, and the credit card used at purchase. Once you have the tickets in hand, you may be escorted into the venue. Any reselling or transfer of these tickets will void them with no refund.

every lucky dip buyer will receive a ticket, or a letter which they need (together with ID) to pick up the real tickets

No, I understood. They use the wording "no showticket" to describe the deal as:

Lucky DIP –ein guter Deal!

Die Lucky DIP Voucher werden nur paarweise (immer zwei Tickets) verkauft zu einem absoluten Hammerpreis.

Beim Lucky DIP handelt es sich um einen Voucher, es ist KEIN Showticket. Der Lucky DIP Voucher berechtigt somit nicht zum Einlass!

Komm am Showtag an der Abendkasse vorbei und ziehe einen verschlossenen Umschlag. Darin enthalten sind zwei Tickets. Welche Preiskategorie, ob Sitz- oder Stehplatz, Goldencircle- oder gar PIT Stehplatz verraten wir nicht, lass dich überraschen.
Ausgabe der Showtickets an der Abendkasse erfolgt nur auf den Namen des ursprünglichen Käufers gegen Vorlage des Vouchers, der Bestellbestätigung und eines Ausweises (Pass/ID)

I know but it's very unusual that they send you a pdf file as if was a ticket

I was in the Amsterdam queue for an hour prior to them being on sale and they were gone as soon as it went live.

Anyone have a spare single I can buy from them?

Wasn't looking too good, but I was feeling real well.
