Four songs in almost 60 years of the Rolling Stones? Bravo Charlie!
These are the songs in which Bill doesn't play his bass, but there will be others too, these are the ones that come to mind:

Sympaty for ...(Bill plays maracas)
Live with Me (Bill's live version is the best).
Tumbling Dice (Played like Bill)
Torn and Frayed
I Just Want to See His Face
Stop Breaking Down (no credit given for bass)
Shine a Light
Casino Boogie
Soul Survivor
Doo Doo Doo Doo Doo (Heartbreaker)
Silver Train
IORR
Memory Motel (Bill DOES play bass per album credit)
Shattered
Some Girls
Before They Make Me Run
Emotional Rescue
All About You
Dance
Summer Romance
Where the Boys Go
Tie You Up
Wanna Hold You
Pretty Beat Up
Winning Ugly
Sad Sad Sad
Hold On to Your Hat
Break the Spell
highwire.

My italics above. What's your point? Except for a couple exceptions, those are minor album cuts in the Stones pantheon. Only a couple were singles. Would you like a list of their singles he DID play bass on? How about the lead off song on Exile? On Some Girls? How about every concert they played since he joined until he stepped away? And think how much better the above songs might have been with Bill on them.
With most of these song I didn't even know it was not Bill. Although I love stuff that Bill did it shows that he was quite easy to replace.

Look at those people actually enjoying the show instead of filming it with their smartphones

Bob Dylan at The Ryman had a strict no-cell phone use policy. I loved it. Seeing Jack White April 30. He also has a similar policy.

It can be done, and I hope more artists start doing it, at least for the bands I like. The artists that have crowds mainly composed of those in their 20's and younger can keep letting their fans bring and use cell phones. Hell, if they had a no cell phone policy, they'd lose their minds because many of them don't know how to function without them. Pretty sad.
Yeah , I don't know what to do ? I better check my phone and get instructions . A generation of mindless zombies being led around by there phones . Directions / I don't know how to get there . Take a test , get the answers from the phone . Meet a girl and want to date , check with the phone on the how and when to ? etc.

You have to have a phone to do this and that . I firmly believe you throw cash at anything in life and you get accommodated period .

Those photos are just incredible. The band, and the audience.
Wouldn't have minded an ultra double plus expanded box set with the Concert for the Blind thrown in too ... Blind Date is one good boot, esp the band playing themselves out of a state of collapse on the opening of Star Star ...

Agree on all counts! One & 1/2 months away, this is exciting!

The pictures are great and it does make me wish for a video release, but getting the audio will be amazing! Blind Date is also great, the boots do it justice, but yes, if they included that, it would be very welcome!

The afternoon gig is really good but the commonly circulating sb tape/boot from the late concert shows a band that can barely stands.
Methinks there was quite some celebratory libations between the 2 shows... Jagger sounds totally drunk on the "Blind Date" boot.

Perhaps, I meant on the sound quality! Very good show. As for the performance - to me that is great too, but I'm not a musician.

I was there for the afternoon show. They were pretty loose on that one as well. They weren't on tour then and probably didn't get much done at 'rehearsal'.

You are making a fool of me ? Bill was a member of the Stones, obviously he has played on almost all the Stones songs, I never said otherwise. I just wrote that for a while he wasn't always there, Mick J. himself said in an interview, I don't think I've written anything different.
If you count the songs, it's three albums.
If you look at the EOMS credits, you'd see that Bill doesn't play TD or at least he's not credited, I wasn't there. [en.wikipedia.org].
In BAB he was actually Crazy Mama and not MM.
[en.wikipedia.org]
Also in Fingerprint File Bill he does not play bass, but he is at the synthesizer.
If you notice in some of those songs, the bass is essential, which is why I was always amazed that it wasn't Bill who played it.
I remember that on the 75/76 tour on Fingerprint File, Bill gave the bass to Ronnie even during concerts, although the original bass was by Mick Taylor.

Bill in the last years of his militancy in the Stones, was often absent and disinterested, so much so that very often he was replaced by Ronnie or Keith. So it wasn't Bill waiting for Keith outside the bathroom, but the other Stones waiting for Bill.

I don't know where you get that impression. Most accounts of studio time with the Stones have Bill and Charlie arriving first, and then waiting. And waiting. The only time they had to kowtow to Bill was when he told them he was leaving. He's not on two or three throw away songs on Steel Wheels, probably because he was getting married. But excepting Continental Drift, he's on all the songs that matter. Bill always made the best songs better.

Harlem Shuffle is the best thing on Dirty Work, and it's a great Bill song. Ronnie had one good bass part playing bass for the Stones, Emotional Rescue.

And he's great on El Mocambo. His playing often brings a sense of humor to songs. Try doing that with a bass.

The tracks without Wyman were done when he was off dealing with his future marital disaster's health issues.
Bill has been missing on many songs even on Emotional Rescue and also on many songs from 70s albums.
However, I'm not accusing Bill of anything, I'm just saying he wasn't the saint that many paint. Bill is the only Stones who has often been assende, there must be a reason! Charlie has always been on all tracks except IORR which was recorded at Ronnie's house and Charlie wasn't there, like no other Stones but Mick.

No one said he was a saint. But he was a professional. Never missed a gig with the Stones. Never endangered the group by his arrests. (Pissing on a service station wall didn't stop anything). How about 'Heaven', where it's only him, and the two Micks? Or 'Moonlight Mile' where Keith doesn't participate? Except for maybe 'SFTD', I can't think of a Stones song Bill might have not been able to play on as good, or better. And no Charlie wasn't on all tracks. Ever heard of You Can't Always Good What You Want? Jimmy Miller. 'I Just Want To See His Face'. 'Shine A Light' - Jimmy Miller. 'Happy' - Jimmy Miller.

Of course it was. The ”guitar-bass” of Keith and Taylor is cool but it’s not a part of the real Stones magic. Ronnie is more of a real bass player, sure, but Wyman was unique. A cover like Route 66 has two main hooks: Keiths tight guitar and Bills dance hall swing. Charlies also important on that number. Hot Stuff wouldnt be the same song without Wymans bass. Live he was amazing and extremly important. Just listen to Rambler in -73. Oranything from -78. Or -81/-82.

Is there anyone fukcin' cooler than the Stones? I don't think so.

thumbs up those pics exude coolness

Some of those pics (as well as others that have been posted throughout the thread) could have made a far better cover for this album than what they came up with.

Bill's bass playing was the best

Of course it was. The ”guitar-bass” of Keith and Taylor is cool but it’s not a part of the real Stones magic. Ronnie is more of a real bass player, sure, but Wyman was unique. A cover like Route 66 has two main hooks: Keiths tight guitar and Bills dance hall swing. Charlies also important on that number. Hot Stuff wouldnt be the same song without Wymans bass. Live he was amazing and extremly important. Just listen to Rambler in -73. Oranything from -78. Or -81/-82.
Ilove Mick Taylor’s playing on everything but his bass is like another guitar.Bill and Charlie were incomparable

Bill Wyman was a bass player who understood what a band was about.
He was a team-player who left the needed space and let the music breathe.
Keith, Mick Taylor and Ronnie could play some lines, but it’s more a sub-guitar than a real bass. Listen to the early take of Dancing With Mr. D. with Bill, from the GHS deluxe edition and compare it with the offically released take with Taylor and you have the proof between the role of a real bass-player and a guitarist playing bass-lines.
